Flu seems to be avoiding area for fear of falling meteors.

Day 4: No Flu. Flu seen lurking around edges of box. Fortunately flu does not have opposable thumb and therefore cannot open box.

Day 5 (+6?): No flu. Flu seems to fear only fire. Suggest burning everything.
