Beltris was the runt of his clutch. Ever since he hatched in the wild, his brothers and sisters pulled on his tail and knocked him around. Finding food was difficult for him, since his siblings never shared. Even his mother rejected him when she took her chicks out on the hunt. The only dinosaur who ever noticed, let alone play with Beltris was Mordred, the pack leader. However, as time passed, the air around Beltris and Mordred changed. Suddenly, on a chilly spring morning, a volcano erupted about two miles from their nest. The pack scattered. Mordred tried desperately to save any of them, but they were too quick for him to catch. Suddenly, he spotted Beltris, his leg broken by a fallen rock, struggling to get up. Mordred rushed over to save his theoretical son, clamping him tightly in his jaws and tugging to get him free. Mordred's timing couldn't have been better. No sooner had he pulled Beltris from the rock, had another fallen just where the young male had been laying. Mordred rushed through the fiery inferno of a forest, Beltris clamped tightly in his mouth. After a few minutes, they reached the edge of the forest. Mordred looked back one last time at his fallen home, hearing the terrified screeches of dying dinosaurs, as they were scorched alive. He turned away and after about five days with no food or water, collapsed at our front gate, just like Sarah, our friendly little bambiraptor. We took them to our bambiraptor enclosure. Luna and Sarah befriended them and now they're all living happy at Tarsamoore's Farm.
