Carlos was guarding the native cheif. He held is knife to the cheif's neck. He saw the others helping Tamber. He was getting tired, and the sun was starting to set. It had to be around eight o' clock. He put the knife into his pocket, and ran off into the woods, leaving the cheif with the other pirates.

When he was in the forest, he saw the entrance to a cave. He found a stick and lit it to make a torch. He went into the cave, and saw water trickling down the sides of the cave. "Thats strange..." It whispered to himself. He continued walking and came to the end of the cave. There was a strange indentation in the ceiling above him. He brushed his hand over the wall of the cave. It was damp, but there was no water for miles...

Tamber awoke, seeing that she was in a tent. She didn't know what to do. She got up, and walked to the nearest pond. She saw this pond lead to the ocean and many other places. She looked around, then hopped in. Swimming, she felt something weird, she didn't know what it was. Although Tamber could some times halucinate, she was sure she saw another mermaid swimming around. Tamber swam away fast, and got lost. She sat on the shore, and saw a small hole in the ground, it seemed to go on forever, she curled up and promised herself that she would find the rest of the crew tomorrow...
Liberty had decided to follow Carlos, leaving his "victims", the helpless natives, alone to fix the wounds he had inflicted. It was early morning, and the sun was just beginning to rise. Carlos' trail was fairly easy to find. He did not seem very experianced with traveling in a forest, where covering your tracks could be neccesary for survival. Liberty found him in a large, moss-covered cave, staring at something in the murky cave-water. Liberty watched, then chuckled his creepy quaker-parrot laugh. He would show carlos~ show him the dangers of wandering off by himself. But, first, breakfast. Liberty swiftly grabbed a passing lizard and then spat it out. "Ugh. Lizards... Disgusting." He thought briefly. Carlos was still by the water's edge, watching the waters carefully. Liberty, as quietly as he could, flew on top of a rock hidden in the shadows of the cave. He knew the sounds mermaids made fair well. Being a parrot, he could imitate nearly everything, from pirate swears to a mermaid's sing-song voice. Liberty took a deep breath, then began to whisper Carlos' name. He didn't respond at first, then he turned around fearfully. No one was there. He resumed watching the pond in the cave, and then heard a rather squeaky yet haunting melody. He didin't have sense enough to notice that it was not coming from the water, but from the stones walls of the cave around him.
