The dusky pod made it to the shallows, swimming as far in as they could, but not into water shallow enough to risk beaching themselves; the calves  and older juveniles were ushered to the back of the group as being of smaller size allowed them to swim in even shallower waters then the adults. The pod restlessly gathered close together watching the open waters apprehensively. Voloxy and Eno began calling out for Nacaetus again after a moment, they were soon joined by Caesistis and Ceanatus her mother and little brother and her father, Altus. They called out to her urgently, but were making too much noise for Caerultus`s comfort, and she quickly berated Caesistas and Altus with stern jab of her nose into each of their sides quieting them; they were old enough to know better. The pod fell silent in wait, they could do nothing more.

Naecatus watched the orcas dive nervously as she could hear the cries of her family in the distance. She wanted to go to them, but at the same time she was too nervous to. She looked up at the looming danger, then down at the rapidly descending orca pod. She clicked at the orcas, diving deep wasn`t normal behavior for her kind, and wasn’t something they normally did. Her kind would retreat to the shallows in times of danger, not to the deep. She was desperate however, to not be left alone in the open, so she followed the orcas against her intuition. She kept a slight distance from the orcas, joining them at the bottom feeling scared as the water turned red above them.

Oceana, Ondine's calf watched a certain figure descend towards them. It was one of the dolphin calves from earlier. Oceana clicked happily, nodding her head playfully. It's like she didn't even remember the situation that was going on now. She only receieved a gentle 'smack' to the face with Ondine's tail. Ondine followed her calf's gaze spotting the young dolphin descend towards them. Ondine was confused, it's pod was up there, why didn't it go towards it's pod? The pod was busy gathering the calves and making sure everyone was here. The dolphin got closer, and the large shadow of that shark creature covered the moon's white light.

After a moment dolphin cries rang out in the distance again, Naceatus`s family was calling for her. She ignored the playful gesture of the orca calf, turning toward where the cries of the dusky`s were coming from. It was too far; too much time would be spent alone in the open going to them. She didn`t budge. Her base instincts were telling her that there was safety in numbers; to stay with the orcas. She would return when it was safe to do so.  She clicked at the orcas, making sure to keep some distance from them, while also keeping her eyes fixed above; watching out for the looming threat of the behemoth creature. Voloxy and Caesistas swam about distraughtly as Caerultus silenced tem again.  Voloxy looked like she was ready to break rank and leave the shallows.

The pod heard the distinct clicking. Fjord turned around, looking at the young dolphin before them. Oceana swam towards the young dolphin, nodding her head playfully. They could all still hear the sorrowful cries of dolphins. Ondine nudged her calf back, wanting her to not scare the poor thing. Reka and Clyde, the other two orca calves, swam up towards the dolphin, only to be called back by their mothers. Now wasn't the time for fun and games. The cloud of blood soon disappeared, some small sharks gobbling up bits and chunks of baby whale meat. Whatever the creature was, all anyone could see was a tail slipping into the darkness.
Necaetus nudged the orca calf before her back playfully, but did not try to play. She backed away, always looking up, seeing the perceived danger pass, her confidence returned. She chirped at the orcas, dashing completely around them one good time, before racing off to rejoin her pod; finally returning their calls, as she leapt powerfully out of the water one time after another on her way back. Voloxy was the first out of the shallows to meet her, the two rubbed noses before being joined by Caesitas who nudged her daughter affectionately and Caerultus who gave her a firm shove as punishment for leaving in the first place. Shortly Nacaetus, Voloxy, Eno and Caenatus went back to playing, and the pod relaxed daring to venture back out of the shallows a bit to feed. The squid were still swimming up from the depths and the dusky didn`t want to miss their chance to take advantage of such a feast. Caursarius, who was basically the omega male of the group was left in charge of sentry duties and patrolled around the group keeping an eye out for danger.  This time they kept the shallows in sight, still nervous.
Members from the pod began swimming deeper as dawn's light brighten the ocean. Aberforth and Marlowe swam to the sandy floor, nosing through the sand, small fish and crabs darting out, and a ocasionally a stingray or two. Oceana, as curious and playful as she was, swam away from her mother and to the sandy bottom. She snapped at the little fishies and crustaceans across the sand. There were clumps of seaweed here and there, fish darting from their shelter as Oceana swam by. Ondine wasn't please and swam after her calf, giving her a small nudge to the side.

Oceana dug her snout through the sand, a stingray shot out of the sand, and Oceana took chase. The little orca grabbed the ray by its tail, herking her head up and down until she heard a crack. Clyde and Reka came along, sharing the stingray, but as the blood spread through the water, so did reef sharks. Reka and Beck swam towards their calf, nudging Clyde back to safety. Ara was not pleased having sharks near her daughter Reka, even though they were small. Ara quickly swam over to the group of sharks and 'rammed' into the group, sharks scattering away.

A few months had passed, and now the orca calves were at least a little bigger than a ski boat. Aberforth and Marlower, as always, stayed together. Aberforth dived down, Marlowe next to his side. The two males looked around, they were in a submerged city. The buildings, cars and streets had coral and algae growing through spaces and cracks, along with seaweed. The pod soon followed, Oceana swam over to a car, fitting her head through the window, fishes scattered as she nosed through coral and seaweed.

Ondine swam over to her daughter, nosing her head out of the sunken car window nand nudging her onward. Aberforth and Marlowe were swimming side by side, curisously pressing their noses against the windows of skyscrapers and nosing through coral and seaweed. Oceana swam over to a skeleton of a... human. Who knows how long it has been since they exisited on this planet taken over by water.  The female orca calf swam around the skeleton, the corpse seeming almost similar in an odd way...

Fjord was behind the pod, getting a litle annoyed that the pod had scattered to different places, inspecting the sunken city.

Harsh Seas-Sea Creature RP
Setting

The ocean. (Every single sea) Buldings, homes and cities are all underwater. The only thing above water is half of islands, peaks of mountains and volcanoes, half of trees(other half is submerged), the sky, seabirds flying above, and I guess thats it. There are also rivers. (yay the rivers survived XD) There are hippos, crocodiles and stuff like that in the shallows.

There are also still icebergs and chunks of ice in the arctic. Very few penguins and seals still live since there is barely any land.

Plot

The seas have rised and engulfed all the lands. Everything is now submerged beneath the cruel yet gorgeous ocean. The only thing above water is the sky and the peaks of volcanoes and mountains, and the flapping wings of seabirds above.

You are a sea creature exploring the new world you must get used to. Mysterious cities, unknown objects, and perhaps, danger lurks in every corner? Who knows...

You will have to be very careful. The sea can betray who it likes, at any time. The ocean has various tricks beneath it's wonderful hues of blue and soft sands. Violent storms, wicked currents, ravenous predators... what else could there be?

History
The world has been submerged beneath deep blue. No one survivied other than those who can live with the water. (Land animals and plants dont exsist anymore)
Rules

-Please be realistic. We speak with sounds and body language, not english. No flying magical orcas etc.

Don't see a species you would like to roleplay as? Don't worry. Just message me the species/creature you would like to be and I will gladly add it to the Joinable Species list. I don't bite.

-No Gary/Mary sues.

-Do not kill anyone's character without permission.

-Do not be too violent. No ripping out (name's) throat and swallowing it whole. That's gross.

-No cursing.

- You can be a prehistoric sea creature, but.. please, not too many. I do not want too many Liopleurodons, or too many Pliosaurs etc. I want this roleplay to have some variety in species.

-When you are making a character, for age, please put the age of your character in human years.

-When you are making a character, under additional notes, please say what species your character is. For example, if you chose Any Species of Dolphin, under Additional Notes, you would write... (dolphin species Ex. Bottlenose Dolphin)
