Xio swam at the bottom of the ocean, his belly scraping against coral, sand and seaweed. He looked up and spotted a pod of dolphins and a pod of orcas not so far away. He had recently eaten, so he wasn't in the mood for hunting. Xio stayed at the depths of the ocean, not wanting to be seen, He lowered his gaze and saw an octopus trying to grab a hermit crab. With his flippers/paddles he could swim quite flexibly at times. Just because he ate a while ago doesn't mean he couldn't have a snack, right? He put on a sudden bost of speed and his snout knocked the octopus back. there he grabbed it by its head and began stuffing it down its throat. Thankfully he didn't get any ink in his face.
Ninfa lifted her head above the surface, looking around. She went under the water and looked for some fish. She saw a school of then and propelled herself toward them. They started swimming away and then she put on a burst of speed. Part of the school expected it and started zooming away. Then she saw her chance. She snapped her jaws at some fish. Ninfa caught three fish and she swallowed them. She made a few clicks and looked around. She saw no one. She dived a little deeper and continued looking. Still nobody. She shook her head and went back to the surface to breathe. She suddenly saw a pod of some orcas. When she dived back down she swam toward them, not thinking about what might happen.

After a while of catching sea lion pups and eating them, the pod began moving again. The blood would obviously attract sharks. The pod still weren't content with their bellies, but at least they had something and the calves were full. Ondine looked down, there was a large shadow in the reef below, no not a shadow, a creature. She swam farther down. She immeadiately swam back up to the pod. There was a large leopleurodon down in the reef. Ondine clicked, and ehidtled to the pod. Once the others saw the danger lurking below, they all swam in another direction. Oceana noticed something, and tried to get her mother's attention. There seemed to be another orca not so far away. Night was settling in as well.

The male leoplerodon finished his octopi. He saw the orca pod gradually get farther, he decided they were too far. A couple hours have passed. The water was now a dark blue. He saw a glinting pair of eyes in the distance. He slowly swam closer, spotting a group of elasmosaur's stretching out their necks and gulping up fish. He pumped is flippers and closed his jaws on an elasmosaur's neck. He bit down hard and thrashed the long necked reptile side to side. The other elasmosaur's panicked and swam away. Xio bit of chunks of the sea-reptile and quickly ate them, there were already sharks gathering. He tore one las chunk out of the elasmosaur and swam away. He looked up once again seeing a lone orca.
Ninfa noticed that two orcas in the pod noticed her and she stopped. Then she looked down and saw a leoplerodon not far away. She swam downward, not facing exactly the pod, but to the calf, who had noticed her first. When she reached the orca, she paused and looked at the calf. She clicked a couple times, staring at her. Then Ninfa stared at the older one, who seemed to be her mom. She clicked again, and looked down at the leoplerdon. Then looked back up and looked at the pod. She needed them, she would maybe survive alone for a while......... She shook her head and again, stared at the calf and other.
Ondine had no idea who this orca was, by it's appearance it was obviously not of her family. Ondine nudged Oceana back to her side and and swam back to the pod. The pod had never accepted a stranger orca into the pod. Fjord looked back down at the female orca. He swam towards her, whistling and clicking. He then turned around and followed the pod. Ondine stayed close to the other mother orcas, all the calves 'craddled' in between them. Fjord caught up with the pod, he noticed that all the calves were surrounded by the mothers. He looked back at the lone orca and whistled once more, before returning to the pod's attention.
It was now difficult to see. The night was here and the ocean was now pitch blacl, other than the moon's reflection against the ocean. Xio was alread full, but the prescence of the orcas angered him. The whistling and clicking were ear-splitting. He swam up to the surface, not making much noise and took a large breath, and swam back down. Maybe a midnight snack would help? THe sharks were still swarming around the elasmosaur carcass. Xio put on a boost of speed and grabbed a small shark, well it was something. He quickly gulped it down and tried to catch the scent of anymore prey.
Ninfa whistled back to the big male orca. She was completely confused. And alone. How was she supposed to be a threat to him? Even if she tried, he would beat her easily, in ANYTHING! She was scared for the second time in her life. The first time it was obvious what she should do. Now she was puzzled. What was she supposed to do? She went a little lower than the big orca. She lowered her head also. Ninfa needed a reason why she should say. But she couldn't think, not with the pod around. She just swam a short distance away, and came back, very slowly, clicking silently, almost in shame. She stared at the leader, her eyes not looking at him.
Ondine looked back at the lonesome orca. It didn't feel right to just leave her there. Fjord swam back to the orca, and swam back to the pod, swam to the orca, then to the pod, and repeat. He also clicked here a there. He nudged the orca and nodded his head in a playful manner. He clicked to the pod. Ondine turned around, clicking back to her mate. She swam towards him, and then she looked at the other female orca. She whistled to her, and nodded her head playfully as well. Oceana swam around the orca. Ondine lightly nipped Oceana's dorsal fin, a signal to stop. Oceana swam to Ondine's side. The rest of the pod swam towards them.

Night had fallen on the duskys, and with their feast ended they all headed to the safety of the shallows; all well fed. The cries in the distance had ceased and all was quietâ€â€save for the distant sound of orcas. The pod knew that the orcas that had bothered them earlier were in the area, but as long as the hung around the shallows they felt safe. Their activities slowed in the evening as they swum slowly along, occasionally dragging their belly or sides in the sand for a good scratch. The only ones that were really active were the juveniles of the pod who were chasing each other about exuberantly; although the youngest calves clung to their mother’s sides, simply content to watch. The adults listened to the sound of waves crashing into the shore and against rocks; occasionally using their echolocation to see into the darkness the lied beyond, waiting for the a sign to move back to deeper waters.

Soon the pod stirred again, becoming vocal and moving back to deeper water; this time to feast on squids, which came up from the depths in the night. When going after squid the employed no specific tactics, just speed; flitting about jovially.

Ondine watched as the pod swam towards the lone female orca. Ondine swam away from the huddle to get some space. She nudged Oceana to her side. The pod members began communicating with the now crowded lone orca. Ondine looked around, she would have sworn something swam by. She began using her echo-location skills to see if there was anything lurking the dark waters. She surfaced for air, a large spout emerginf from her blow hole, Oceana doing the same. The cries of dolphina, seals and birds were still heard, but very faint. Something wasn't right. Other than the stranger orca, there must have been something watching them.
The duskys continued chasing squid about, some of them continued to use their echolocation here and there to take a look at their surroundings and make sure nothing was coming up on them; they were always on alert when swimming away from the shallows, even though at times it seemed that they were oblivious. Forcystus, the largest of the duskys caught a ping of something and swam out to get a better read on it as whatever his clicks were bouncing off of wasn`t too near. He clicked again after having covered some distance; a clearer picture revealed the mystery creature to be the orca and it`s calf from earlier, swimming back down from the surface. Forcystus wheeled around and returned to the others, clicking and whistling to Caerultus the matriarch of the group as he went, the group had specific warning calls for different types of threats. Caerultus decided that the proximity of the Orcas wasn`t of concern and went back to feeding.
Forcystus and Aestus continued to patrol the area around where the others were feeding, someone had to keep watch. A separate ping further down suggested there might be something else swimming about the area; they kept their guard up while continuing to explore.
Naceatus and the other juveniles had finished eating and went back to their normal ritual of leaping out of the water and practicing various kinds of jumps and flips they were attempting to master. Naceatus slipped away to explore on her own while the others were distracted at play.
Ondine called out to the pod, wanting them to start moving. Fjord clicked to the pod as well, and the pod began moving. Ondine joined the pod with her calf. Aberforth and Marlowe both resesurfaced. They crated a long spout of water and took a long breath. Other pod members did the same. Ondine looked back at the stanger orca. Ondine clicked to the orca, beckoning to follow. A loud splash of water broke the night's silence, then a large wail. The pod looked up at the surface. A large creature had lept out of the water and devoured a baby blue whale.

Forcystus and Aestus continued their mostly silent patrol, before spying something truly colossal breach the surface, a sizeable whale calf vanishing into its dark form in mere moments. Like the shadow of death itself--the two investigated the behemoth no further, just the sound of its splash alone told them all the needed to know, and feeling the water displacement it had generated. They squealed piercingly, urgently sounding off with their most frantic alarm call as they dashed back toward where the rest of the pod was. Caerultus, began sounding off as well in response to them, the group immediately bunched together in panic and made a mad dash for the shallows. Their race took them right past the orca pod from earlier. None of the panicked dolphins paid any attention as they passed the larger cetaceans traveling at full speed. Practically blind in the night without making use of their echolocation; some passed close enough that they even had flippers and flukes brushing and clipping the orcas as they displaced the water around them. Causarius, taking up the back of the group, was the only one that ran into one of the orcas; crashing directly into one of the orcas calves. He was dazed only momentarily before taking off again. The mothers slowed down enough that the youngest calves in the dusky pod could keep up with them. Voloxy and Eno called out to Nacaetus who had been lost in the shuffle, but were promptly ushered along by their father Aestus who along with Forcystus had caught up to and rejoined the group. There was no time to slow down, making it to the shallows was their upmost concern; their lives could depend on it. Nothing large would be able to follow them into the shallows.

Nacaetus who had been left behind by the pod in their panic, could hear their cries in the distance and sped off toward them, crossing paths with the orcas just as the others had, and was the last dusky to do so. Unlike the others however, she stayed put; staying with the orcas. It felt safer to do that then to attempt to close the rest of the distance to the shallows alone, where she would feel vulnerable. The others closed in other shallows at a breakneck pace; until they were there they would not relax.

Ondine rejoined the pod and they began swimming down into the depths. The paniced cries of the dolhpins only made it worse. What ever the creature was, it was huge, and it had a large enough mouth to the swallow a baby whale. The cry of what seemed to be the mother whale were heard and a giant splash. Once the orca pod had reached the bottom, Ondine looked up. She could see the shadow of the giant creature. It looked like, a shark?! Well, not just any shark, it was colassal. A giant cloud of blood changed the pretty blue water to a dreadful red.

Harsh Seas-Sea Creature RP
Setting

The ocean. (Every single sea) Buldings, homes and cities are all underwater. The only thing above water is half of islands, peaks of mountains and volcanoes, half of trees(other half is submerged), the sky, seabirds flying above, and I guess thats it. There are also rivers. (yay the rivers survived XD) There are hippos, crocodiles and stuff like that in the shallows.

There are also still icebergs and chunks of ice in the arctic. Very few penguins and seals still live since there is barely any land.

Plot

The seas have rised and engulfed all the lands. Everything is now submerged beneath the cruel yet gorgeous ocean. The only thing above water is the sky and the peaks of volcanoes and mountains, and the flapping wings of seabirds above.

You are a sea creature exploring the new world you must get used to. Mysterious cities, unknown objects, and perhaps, danger lurks in every corner? Who knows...

You will have to be very careful. The sea can betray who it likes, at any time. The ocean has various tricks beneath it's wonderful hues of blue and soft sands. Violent storms, wicked currents, ravenous predators... what else could there be?

History
The world has been submerged beneath deep blue. No one survivied other than those who can live with the water. (Land animals and plants dont exsist anymore)

-Please be realistic. We speak with sounds and body language, not english. No flying magical orcas etc.

-
Don't see a species you would like to roleplay as? Don't worry. Just message me the species/creature you would like to be and I will gladly add it to the Joinable Species list. I don't bite.

-No Gary/Mary sues.

-Do not kill anyone's character without permission.

-Do not be too violent. No ripping out (name's) throat and swallowing it whole. That's gross.

-No cursing.

-All Exhibited rules apply.

- You can be a prehistoric sea creature, but.. please, not too many. I do not want too many Liopleurodons, or too many Pliosaurs etc. I want this roleplay to have some variety in species.

-When you are making a character, for age, please put the age of your character in human years.

-When you are making a character, under additional notes, please say what species your character is. For example, if you chose Any Species of Dolphin, under Additional Notes, you would write... (dolphin species Ex. Bottlenose Dolphin)
