Ondine descended down in the cold sea. Her deep brown eyes scanned the area. Her lifted her gaze. A tall tower with something round at the top. (She's in Seattle, or at least what used to be Seattle) She heard a small click and she quickly turned to see her mother. Ondine's mother (who's name is Mayu) rested her chin atop her forehead.

Ondine turned around and towards the mysterious tower. She swam between buildings and over some hard black sand with yellow stripes of the sides. (roas/street) She swam up only to be followed by her mother and other pod mates. She peered inside the tower's round structure at the top. On the other side of the glass, there were small fish here and there. Round glass objects and sharp metal objects lay on the floor. There were also tables with something soft over them.

Dog had been swimming around for quite some time now, coming closer to the water's surface than he usually did. Dog managed to eat a few fish here and there, but he was still hungry. in the distance he eyed a few shiny looking mountains...? he swam towards them, in hopes there would be food.

and how right was he....he quickly ate some fish, being a larger predator, he needed lots of food...and sometimes not only would he eat fish... he glared around, the fish he had snacked on now fled from him...but he did see a a pod of orcas in the distance, and he was bigger and longer than any of them. good. curiously, he swam towards the pod.

Ondine circled around Seattle's space needle. She felt an eerie prescence. She returned to her pod, getting nuzzled by her mother. The largest male in the pod, Fjord let out a high pitched squeak. It echoed through the water. It hit something and bounced right back. Fjord made a few low clicks, warning the other podmates. Ondine's mother, Mayu, swam back down. Ondine did nothing but follow. Fjord took one last look around, and dove down with them.

Once they reached the bottom, some pod members began maching echo waves. Ondine also sensed some wrong, it was getting closer as well.

Ondine felt her echo-location-wave bounce back to her. The now sunken streets and buildings of Seattle had a predator lurking its waters. Ondine cried out to her pod-mates. She began swimming deeper down. There was one problem, Mayu, Ondine's mother needed air. Could she take the risk? Ondine watched as her mother swam upwards towards the surface. Although she couldn't see the prehistoric monster, she could still sense its presence. Ondine called out to her mother with clicks and whistles, trying to perseuade Mayu to come back down. Mayu continued going up to the surface. Other pod-members called out to her as well. Ondine just stayed in the safety of rocks and reefs, while she watched her mother become almost a small speck near the surface. Ondine turned her attention to the calves. They were very vulnerable to predators, since they were small.
Dog had locked his vision on an older orca, who was surfacing to breathe. Dog grumbled hungrily, and used his massive strength to propel him forwards, swimming directly towards the orca...of course, he was not familiar with this type of prey, but hey, food is food, which equals roughly to survival. out of the corner of his eye, he saw the rest of the pod, clicking to the other orca. too late? Dog was almost a shadow himself, as his scales were excellent camoflauge. He again, quickly darted forward, using his fins to accelerate quickly. extending his mouth filled with dangerous teeth, he managed to grab the orca's tail fin, and then he thrashed back and forth, a cloud of blood staining the water.

Ondine turned around hearing a loud squeee and her pod mates panicking. She raised her gaze, only to see a large cloud of blood. Ondine whistled sadly. She distracted herself by nudging the two calves into a forest of kelp, fish emerging from the shelter. One of he calves, was hers, the other one was of a different orca.

The only thing Mayu saw were two widening jaws and a cloud of her own blood. She whistled and clicked loudly, trying to release herself from the predators thrashing.

Ondine ignored her mothers cries, its not like her pod could help her anyway... right?

Dog continued his thrashing, if he mangled the tail fin of the orca, it couldn't even get away from him. suddenly, he let go of it, swallowing whatever meat managed to get into his jaws.he let out a low roar before grabbing the orca's front fins to pull her close to him, and then dog latched onto the orca's stomach, once again thrashing her around, which wasn't as hard as he was used to...dog heard loud crack ripple through the water as he hacked through the orca, and it's constant squealing was soon silenced, and dog had his meal. he grasped the orca in his jaws, and carried it down into the depths below...
Ondine watched as her mother was violently torn apart, a low whistle came from Ondine's calf. Mayu was dragged into the depths of Seattle. Ondine's nudged her baby out of the kelp forest. Ondine swam up to the surface of the water, her pod mates not too far behind. She raised her head out of the water, and a large spout of water came from her blowhole. She dove down again. The blood would attract sharks soon. Fjord led the pod out of the area, Into the vast ocean. A albatross dove into the water catching some fish. Ondine leapt from the water grasping the bird before it could fly away.
Dog had quickly eaten the orca, wasting no time in eating the meat floating away as well. He could already see sharks coming up to the source...a whole bunch of them. he could take a few, but not as much as he saw, so he bolted. At least there was no blood on him. Dog swam leisurely to his cave after he swam away from the frenzy of sharks, eating the leftovers of fish he could find from the schools that had not left the area already. a scent drifted past his nose, and he let out a low growl, finding a small baby shark outside his den, lunching on some of the schools of fishes still in the area. Dog quickly darted at it, snapping it up and swallowing it whole quickly
A pod of Dusky dolphins chattered enthusiastically to one another as they skillfully herded sardines into a tight bait ball trapping them against the surface of the sea. Their cooperation as a group was virtually flawless. One by one a dolphin would break out formation and dart through the ball grabbing mouthfuls of fish before rejoining the formation as the other busily swam circularly keeping the fish trapped; then the next dolphin would break off for their mouthful. Among the joyful din of squeaks, clicks and chirps a young dusky watched the adults at their work eagerly. Her name was Nacaetus, she wasn`t yet ready to partake in the act of bait-balling, but this freed her up to dart about through the ball over and over again to her heart’s content making sure to flip out of the water with each lunge just for the fun of it, but she had to watch the movements of the other dolphins carefully to make sure not to collide with any of them as some of the younger more clumsy individual had already done much to the consternation of the busy adults. Being a juvenile with things to learn had its upsides; soon though she would be expected to join the fray, so these moments of uninhibited feeding were something to be prized. The cheerful dolphins were so engrossed in the task at hand that they scarcely noticed anything else; proving work could also be fun.
Ondine heard many chirps, clicks, clacks and whistles. She looked up and spotted fish    being chased by... dolphins? she swam up caustiously, her calf not far behind. Ondine had seen dolphins before, but had never interacted with any. Ondine still had the albatross in her jaws. She thrashed the bird around until it was a few chunks of meat and feathers. Ondine's calf and another orca's calf both quickly ate the floating chunks of a bird. Other pod members began to examine the dolphins. Could they be eaten? The dolphins didn't look too different from them. They had the same coloration, the only thing different was their markings and size. She continued swimming upwards, at least they were far away from the monster that devoured her mother, hopefully.

The duskys continued feeding zealously until their matriarch sounded off, she had spotted the Orcas swimming up on the pod. The group was familiar with Orcas and knew that they could be dangerous. The adults broke away from their structured driving formation allowing the bait-ball to disperse and the sardines to swim off. Their attention was wholly on the orcas now; they eyed the larger cetaceans suspiciously making all kinds of noise to attempt to ward them off. Nacaetus and the other juveniles fell back behind the adults for safety. She watched the orcas curiously; they looked sort of like much larger versions of her own kind. Having no experience of any kind with orcas, she was not nervous about them like the adults. She wanted to try to play with them, but waited to see what her mother would do. The Dusky faced down the orcas waiting for them to make a move. The felt ready, confident in their much greater speed and agility; they were ready to dart off swiftly if needed. Though they had strayed quite far from shore, so would need another tactic to lose the orcas if it came to that.

Ondine's calf eyed something behind all the adult dolphins. A couple of yoiung dolphins. Ondine's calf could clearly tell they were young. The calf swam closer every few moments, only to be nudged back to her mother's side.

Fjord, the biggest male of the pod swam towards the dolphins. The only time they ever eaten a dolphin was when their was much difficulty catching food, mosyt of the fish had gone to lay their eggs. It wasn't so easy to catch the porpoise either. Ondine continued swimming towards the dolphins. Some of them darting back. Although Ondine knew she was much bigger then them, she didn't want to cause harm, although they were hungry. They most likely wouldn't be able to catch and eat one anyways.

The moment the large male orca swam towards them the duskys scattered darting off in all directions. The mothers hurriedly collated their calves and gathered into a tight group swimming together for protection. The older juveniles like Nacaetus were on their own, even though her mother called or her in all the confusion she took the opportunity to slip away. She swam toward the Orcas instead of away from them, and proceeded to flit around them speedily, squeaking playfully at them, and yet taunting them at the same time by staying just far enough away to be out where she thought she could be in danger. The other duskys had gathered back together further away, continuing to eye the orcas suspiciously; complacency was the quickest way to end up dead in the ocean it paid to be alert. As far as they were concerned; allowing the orcas to get to close was the same as allowing themselves to be killed—too close and all the speed in the world wouldn`t help them respond in time to get away. A few more of the older juveniles inched their way closer to the orcas gaining confidence from Nacaetus`s apparent lack of fear. The adults called out urgently to all of them, but they ignored the calls; curiosity winning out over common sense.
Fjord watched as a juvenile dolphin darting back and forth, prancing around here and there. Ondine's calf began squeaking loudly, getting hushed by a nudge in the side. Some other pod-members began vocalizing as well. Were they going to eat the dolphins? Leave them there? Ondine didn't want to kill one, it would feel as if she were killing her own kind. Ondine swam forwards. Some dusky dolphins stayed where they were, some moved back, and another few inched closer. Ondine felt like she was wasting time, although the tiny versions of orcas were fun, they needed to get out of the area and get food.

Harsh Seas-Sea Creature RP
Setting

The ocean. (Every single sea) Buldings, homes and cities are all underwater. The only thing above water is half of islands, peaks of mountains and volcanoes, half of trees(other half is submerged), the sky, seabirds flying above, and I guess thats it. There are also rivers. (yay the rivers survived XD) There are hippos, crocodiles and stuff like that in the shallows.

There are also still icebergs and chunks of ice in the arctic. Very few penguins and seals still live since there is barely any land.

Plot

The seas have rised and engulfed all the lands. Everything is now submerged beneath the cruel yet gorgeous ocean. The only thing above water is the sky and the peaks of volcanoes and mountains, and the flapping wings of seabirds above.

You are a sea creature exploring the new world you must get used to. Mysterious cities, unknown objects, and perhaps, danger lurks in every corner? Who knows...

You will have to be very careful. The sea can betray who it likes, at any time. The ocean has various tricks beneath it's wonderful hues of blue and soft sands. Violent storms, wicked currents, ravenous predators... what else could there be?

History
The world has been submerged beneath deep blue. No one survivied other than those who can live with the water. (Land animals and plants dont exsist anymore)

Don't see a species you would like to roleplay as? Don't worry. Just message me the species/creature you would like to be and I will gladly add it to the Joinable Species list. I don't bite.

-No Gary/Mary sues.

-Do not kill anyone's character without permission.

-Do not be too violent. No ripping out (name's) throat and swallowing it whole. That's gross.

-No cursing.

-All Exhibited rules apply.

- You can be a prehistoric sea creature, but.. please, not too many. I do not want too many Liopleurodons, or too many Pliosaurs etc. I want this roleplay to have some variety in species.

-When you are making a character, for age, please put the age of your character in human years.

-When you are making a character, under additional notes, please say what species your character is. For example, if you chose Any Species of Dolphin, under Additional Notes, you would write... (dolphin species Ex. Bottlenose Dolphin)
