Tealeaf looked to the large pokemon. His leaf drooped--Chatot no doubt had stock of flying attacks, and being a grass type, it worried him--but he nodded quietly. He had faced flying pokemon in the past, though that doesnt mean that he got hurt any less. He told himself he had to be strong, and he knew he could be. He was a powerhouse when he wanted to be, and that is what had kept the pair going for so many years.

He stepped lightly onto the train with his trainer when it was open to them, having to be careful not to bounce around too much, as his heavy weight would rock the car. He trotted past a number of avalible seats, looking for a one on an end that he could sit near a door opening so he wouldnt block the walking path, his trainer knowing the tradition and merely following him.

Gauge sat finally at an acceptible spot and reached over to take the pack off of the dino, knowing they were in for a good while ride. The pokemon shook off, accidentally scattering some pollen.

"Damnit, Tealeaf..." Gauge just barely moved his foot before Paralyze Powder hit the floor.

"Bay...." he replied in appology.

The trainer got up and responsibly moved to get a Paralyze Heal out of his bag, spraying the powder to nullify the effects before sweeping it into a piece of paper to toss.

Arcanine shook his head, not really knowing what a train was. Once there were only a few people getting off, Arcy hopped on and walked round to a set of seats and jumped up onto them, making sure they were vaccant first, then made room for Darren to sit, he turned his head and looked out of the window at the people rushing around the station, he'd tilt his head from time to time, as if studying the humans as they flashed past, carrying bags and pulling suitcases. Arcy began to fidget as he pulled something out from under him, it was a chew toy left by most likely a teething baby, he growled at it and tossed it into the air and caught it in his mouth and began to chew on it.

Darren walked onto the train and began looking for a seat to sit in. However, it looked as though Arcanine had already picked for them. Walking over, the trainer sat down next to his new friend. Seeing that Arcanine was chewing on something he asked, "What do you have there buddy?"

Salem had learned through a few years of practice on how to act like a human, so he blended in with the crowd getting on very well. He just seemed a little jumpy, that was about it. Well, that and the fact that he didn't speak, but unless someone asked him a question that wouldn't be a problem. Cel followed behind her Zoroark friend, still waving and saying hi to all the people she could manage to find. After nearly missing crashing into a few people who weren't watching where they were going, the pair made it back to their trainer's side and sat down.

Cel bounced around and noticed that Tealeaf was sitting close by. 'Oh, oh, can I go say hi to Tealeaf? He looks like he could use some cheering up!' The little Reuniclus didn't actually wait for an answer, much to Darren's annoyance, but instead floated right over to the Bayleef and said with a huge smile, 'Hey there, I'm back!'

Arcy dropped the toy in Darren's hand and rested both his paws and head on his lap. He barked quietly at a poster on the train wall dated a few years ago and was wrinkled and torn. It had several Pokemon on it and some writing underneath the Pokemon which read; 'Can you catch them all?!?'. He then returned his attention to the window on the opposite side of the train and watched the trees shoot past and once again looked into the sky.

He then rolled over onto his back and nuzzled Darren's chest and barked quietly wanting his belly rubbed.

It took only a moment of contemplation for Iris to make up her mind. As such, she kept her C-Gear in hand, working her way through the trees in search of semi-reliable reception -- a tricky thing to find this far off the beaten path. With a few minutes and a good serving of luck, she did find a spot with enough of a signal to allow her a confirmation to be sent. In the message she also made mention that she would either need a ride of they would have to wait the matter of days it would take her to wander all the way back across the region, as Newmoon Island was on the polar opposite side from where she was now. With her dear pidgeot being long dead, long distance travel had become a bit trickier than it had once been for her.

Fortunately, her friend's response was encouraging. He knew well of her travel limitations, therefore he was sending his Xatu to Lake Valor to locate her and teleport her aboard his ship for further transport. With his rather definite "Stay put" in the message, Iris wound her way through the foliage until she found a spot to rest with a split in the canopy overhead. Now Xatu would be able to find her a little easier, she hoped.

About fifteen minutes had passed when, sure enough, a regal, faded Xatu alighted in the clearing. She waited patiently for him to shake out his feathers before going to greet him. Xatu bobbed his head to her in recognition, knowing her from several past encounters. As was customary in return for pick-up, ris pulled a small container from her bag and removed a berry to offer to him, as an offering of gratitude. The old green avian plucked it ever so delicately from her hand, as mannerly as ever.

Now sated and content with their transaction, Xatu waddled over to her side, his frayed feathers brushing against her sleeve. By this time in her life Iris had done this many times, so she stood obediently still to make his job easier. In an moment of concentration, Xatu's eyes flashed and the world whizzed by them. Mere seconds later, the old woman's eyes refocused, finding her surroundings to now be the deck of her friend's ship.

The surprise of their sudden arrival drew the attention of the crew for sure, along with one particular individual. "Ah! Iris!" The gravelly old voice was familiar to the retired gym leader's ears and actually brought a rare smile to her face. She turned to face the salty old seadog. "It's been awhile." His aged eyes crinkled as he smiled broadly. "Glad you could come on such short notice."

Her returned smile was polite as could be; she had the utmost respect for her fellow veterans, if not anyone else. "It's good to see you again, Charles." She replied. "And it's really no trouble. You know I have nothing better to do."

The brick wall of a man chuckled and nodded. "You do have a point there." With that out of the way, he clasped his hands together with one loud clap. "So then, we'll be able to take you to the island from here, but then we'll need to get going. Got lotsa' cargo to get shipped to the mainland. You just give me a ring if anything comes up though and I'll be there in a flash. Got it?" Charles knew well that Iris, with her experience, could handle almost anything short of a small army. Leaving her on her own wouldn't lose him any sleep. When she nodded in agreement he smiled again and looked out to sea. "Shouldn't take us too long to get back there at all now."

Tealeaf pulled his head back as the Reniculus came right up, startled into the motion. He'd never had to deal with a hyper pokemon, seeing as Boo was never hyper, per se, and he'd never been around so many trainers and their pokemon before.

Gauge chuckled as he watched, pulling out his PokeGear again to, this time, tune into the radio. Few channels still existed that were solely devoted to pokemon, but he enjoyed listening to the talk radio, since every once in a blue moon they'd report an area that was filled with pokemon. Usually they gave tips or told old sailor stories about people and pokemon and their achievements.

Time elapsed fast that way, Gauge having taken out a berry box and given the pokemon treats to help ease hungry stomachs at some point. Eventually, though, the train did come to Canalave, the port town bustling with people and even the odd pokemon following their trainer.

Darren laughed as the Arcanine turned on his back and asked for a belly rub. Since he really had nothing better to do on the train ride he decided he would indulge the large fire type. He rubbed the canine's belly for a long time, before he moved to scratching him behind the ear. The trainer alternated doing this until the finally reached their destination. Salem had been watching Cel the whole way, making sure the little psychic didn't cause too much of a problem for the Bayleef and Gauge. It was a little bit of a relief when they finally made it to Canalave and the Zoroark could finally get off the train and away from the crowd of people.

Walking by, Salem grabbed Cel and half dragged her off the train before she decided to bob along behind him. Darren stood up and motioned to Arcanine, "Come on boy, let's get going. Time to find us a boat to get to Johto on."

Graystoke was glad that they had finally made it to Conalave, he hated carrying his pokemon in their pokeballs. He had always been one to travel with them out beside him where he could talk to them and enjoy their comany. So, the minute he stepped off the cramped train, he tossed his two pokeballs onto a clear space and watched Rune and Raina materialize before him. "Good to see you again friends. We made it to the harbor and are now finding a boat to take us to Johto. You shouldn't have to go back into your pokeballs for the journey over see, so go ahead and stretch your legs for a moment and then we will begin moving."

Raina rolled her stiff neck a bit, and her other limbs as well. She hadn't been in her pokeball for a while and though it did not literally confine her, it did always cause her muscles to stiffen for some reason. The dragon couldn't really figure out why, just that it happened.

Rune was happy to see that his trainer was still fine, and that apparently nothing had happened while he was gone. He stretched each of his four legs before looking to his trainer and indicating that he was ready to get moving.

Graystoke then went to waiting for his companions to get themselves off the train and join him. "Come now you two, we don't have all day. We must find a ship departing soon for Johto and every minute we waste here is another closer to us missing this great chance of a lifetime."

Arcy nodded and licked Darren's hand in a thank you manner for rubbing his belly. He then pushed through a couple of people and hopped off the train. He looked at the people tilting his head. Using Odor Sleuth he sniffed around at peoples luggage as they pulled it away from the hyper Arcanine expecting a bite if they got too close. He snorted when he smelt a Rattata, he turned and saw it chomping down on the fur upon his tail, he snarled baring his teeth, the Rattata didn't seem to care and kept chewing on the fur, slicing off the fur. He growled and used Roar on the little Rat Pokemon. The Rattata jumped and turned to run off, the Arcanine following it along the platform, the little Pokemon had an easy time running between the feet and suitcases of the humans rushing around, while Arcy had a much harder time and knocked a few people over.

The Rattata jumped off the platform and onto the tracks, Arcy still following until the Rattata sprawled into it's mini den just as a train roared into the station, Arcy went wide-eyed and turned to stare at the train which was honking it's horn, he paniced and used a Flamethrower at the wheels, melting them into the tracks, a loud crashing sound was heard as the train crashed to a stop.

The startled Pokemon looked at the passengers on the platforms and at Darren, sorrow in his eyes, a tear formed and he bolted off away from the station.

Darren had just stepped off the train when he heard a horrible commotion. Turning to look at where the noise was coming from, he went wide eyed when he figured out that it was Arcanine. Thinking quickly he turned to his pokemon and said, "Cel, fix that train's wheels, Salem, come on, we've got to catch Arcanine!" He wasn't about to lose the newest member of his team. "Gauge, Graystoke, I'll be right back, gotta catch Arcanine before he actually gets hit by a train or something." With that the three went to work.

Cel went straight over to the train and lifted the entire thing off the ground. Good thing it wasn't too long or it would have been even harder for her to manage. During the time it was elevated, she went to work bending the wheels back into shape from their melted forms. Already she could feel her powers wearing thin, but she knew that she had to get this done and she wasn't going to stop until she was finished.

Salem and Darren chased after the Arcanine, gaining ground on the fire type. He was glad that he was in fit condition, because if he wasn't he would have dropped from all the ups and downs of the stairs and ramps and such. It wasn't that hard to figure out which way the Arcanine went either, he just followed the trail of startled people. Once he knew he was within ear shot Darren called, "Arcanine, wait up! Where are you going? The ship that we are taking to Johto is the other way!"

The Arcanine stopped and looked at Darren, his tail slowly started to wag as he inched his way over to Darren, a small trail of blood fell from his tail from where the Rattata had bitten through his fur and into his tail.

He looked down at the floor as he walked up to Darren, brushing his body against his leg as he walked around him. Quietly wimpering, he had made a fool of himself infront of hundreds and had possibly harmed others on the train he stopped so fast. All the sounds and the amount of humans around him scared him, he weren't used to this much activity, only the odd Pokemon here and there at the reserve, nothing like this.

The old bird remained calm as the group settled on for a trainride. Though he didn't exactly show it, the Chatot was rather excited of the idea of traveling by train, it was his favorite way to travel by far. Low whistling was given, random notes of an old song he once had heard, showing his content.

Head tilted and he looked at Graystoke with a more eased expression as two of the pokemons were brought back into their pokeballs. "Chat, that's my name." He quietly said, before looking around in the train and flapped off from the man's shoulder and towards the bayleaf.

(Ah, I remember when pokemons could be seen more frequent with their human companions. Such a sad sight it is now, I can understand the rage in the Suicune. But I hope whatever he is planning, that he fails.) He said, choosing not to speak so the humans would understand, voice grave as he looked at the seat where the crowd was at.

As the train reached to it's stop, Chatot made his way back to Graystoke's shoulder, though he didn't know the man nor his pokemon well at all, nor fully trust the pokemon of the group. Though it wasn't before the scene with Arcanine fully unfolded itself, that the bird realized, that despite his words earlier - that he found himself thinking that Suicune might have a point.

"Pokeball the Arcanine" He sqawked out, looking at him with pity and irritation. Though he found pokeballs cruel and annoying, he believed it would be the best for the skittish firedog.

Suicune knew he was being followed and increased his speed. Thundering paws splashed the watersurface as he raced against the time and boats to the Newmoon Island. Muzzle parted, tongue lolling out as he panted. Nothing could stop him though, and he knew what he had to do. Determind expression set over crimson red eyes as the gigantic legendary's paws hit the sandy soil of the Island. Few steps into the land and he came to a sudden halt and lowered himself to the ground and shook himself to get Mienfoo off his back.

(Find Darkrai, shout that I sent you as you search for him. Do not look directly at him, stare at the ground and say I sent you.Do not show fear, do not let your voice fall. If you get stuck in his nightmares, nothing can save you. Tell him it's time to rise, time to get our world back. Time to fight back.) Voice was strained and stressed as he looked from the smaller Mienfoo, to the ocean. He couldn't see the boat yet, but he knew it was out there.
Not waiting to make sure Mienfoo had understood, he could only hope he knew the dangers., the larger pokemon once again turned his nose to the waste open sea.

His pace changed, mentally preparing himself for battle as red eyes flashed. Mist started to creep along the stirring surface like frostsmoke on a winters morning, the ever present cold north wind made it's present more known as clouds gathered across the sky. The waterpokemon summoned Blizzard and Mist to confuse the humans stalking him. Sure he was exhausted from running, but sense of duty and willpower was stronger, if he wanted Darkrai on his side he could not be responsible for dragging humans to his frontdoor.

Standing on the water as the Blizzard rolled in fully, come danger and high waters, he would fight to the bitter end.

She watched him with awe in her eyes. Of course, he made quite the impression on the smaller pixie pokemon. Big, baby blue eyes stared at him some more as she nodded. (Oh! ok. I do want you to paint me though!) She hummed, mostly for herself as she followed him. She even walked on the ground just like him, but not for long and she soon levitated instead as she moved out of the cave.

Wide eyed she looked around in the forest, floating higher and higher until she came almost over the treetops. Hands to her mouth as she turned around, dropping towards the ground and tackled the Marowak. (Where is everyone? It's so silent. I don't like it)

Deep in the forest, two yellow lights hover above a worn path. Slinks slowly materializes into view. Well this is new...Note to self snitch a map from one of the humans in the next town He pauses for a moment in thought. Another note to self...learn how to read a map. This place has seen war, i wonder were i'm at. The haunter survays the surrounding forest, noting the old scorch marks and lack of lush foliage in the area as he passes through. Its almost as dead as the Tower its so quiet, looks like everyone left.
He continues following the over grown trail, humming little ditties to himself along the way. He remembers hearing some from that thing humans call a radio. Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream. Merrily Merrily life is but a dream...

Catch That?
Setting
You can be located in any of the five known regions, but try to pick a region in which others are playing so you arent travelling alone. Unova is the most desicrated area and Pokemon are highly scarce here. Sinnoh and Hoenn are least affected (since they're islands and not connected to the main land), but still quite devoid of life, while Kanto and Johto are in between.

Pokemon Centers and Marts still exists but are lumped together (think B&W Version if you've played it) and few and far between. Wild pokemon are also avalible, but are as rare as the trainers who possess them. Professionals of pokemon too are scarce, meaning few Professors, Gym Leaders, etc.

Plot

All across the known Pokemon universe, the critters have become scarce. Where once Pokemon joined human as pets, now dogs and cats have become the household animal. Join with the very few trainers left that are willing to pay large sums of money for their Pokemon, make teams and see if you can bring this ailing species back to it's former glory!

Pokemon have also wised-up. They are harder to catch, harder to train, harder to befriend. Use all your knowledge, as well as the knowledge of others, to win battles, and the hearts, of these pokemon! Who knows, there might even be an Elite Four out there somewhere!

History
Decades after team Plasma was defeated, a second wind of members arose and took power, having worked underground long enough to gain power and liberate Pokemon from the human hand. Suffering a second defeat by the hands of the public, the fools gave up, but not without permanentally changing the course of Pokemon and Human lives. Wild pokemon became hard to find, and the ones left where brought to reserves.

These reserves are the last strongholds of pokemon, acting like a Safari Zone mixed with a breeding farm, all run by breeders and scientists in hope of conserving the dwindling population. People who are interested in owning a Pokemon go to these reserves and buy pokemon now, but, for a large sum of money. Being as rare as they are, not every interested person can afford to own Pokemon, so it's up to those who are truly dedicated to owning and training, and conservation.

There is at least one reserve in each region which specializes in Pokemon for that region. Chose your favorite, or have your character travel! <3

Rules
1) No Godmoding. Example: Dont let your Electric type attack OHKO a ground type pokemon.

2) No Mary-Rue/Gary-Stu. Srsly.

3) Absolutely no killing of Pokemon >:[ ...fainting fine, but no killing >3>

4) Depending on your character's age, you may own only up to 3 pokemon, due to the logical amount of money that it'd take to buy those pokemon. Usually, you should start out with one. If your character is older, you may have up to 6.

5) No Legendaries please. Includes Trios of any kind, but does not include ones that can breed, like Lati@s--just, I dont want to see 5 of them running around. xD Talk to me if you reaally want a Legendary.

6) Keep battles to a realistic length. Also, no blood/extreme battle description--c'mon, it'd Pokemon, not Battle-to-the-Death.

7) Pokemon may have more than four attacks. Within the Anime, it's often seen they have more than that xD plus I'd think they wouldnt forget them so easily. Please keep them to a maximum of like 10 though. :x

8) Chansey, Zoroark, Kecleon, Lucario, etc; ones that you get through event or are extremely difficult to find (especially rare genders) should be extremely limited as well. Shinies go for this rule too.
