First of all..
This is taken from the ToS.
"Exhibited is not a completely bug free game, so any bugs found must be reported to the owner immediately."
This instructs you to report any bug you see before anything else.
So if you see a bug, and ignore it, you are technically violating the ToS. But that isn't where the problem lies. The problem is with the people who do not report it, and then abuse it.
What is meant by 'Bug Abuse'?
Bug abuse means taking advantage of a bug/glitch in the game. Often, without intending to report the bug/glitch.
This is usually done for personal gain, such as to get special items that are normally hard to get and use them or sell them.
It's a very simple thing to understand, so really, a long explanation is not needed.
Remember
Bugs aren't always very clear. A bug can be that you get too much money when someone buys from you, or when you claim your weekly allowance.
If you get money, items or dinosaurs that you don't know where come from, or is more then what you bought/sold for, you should report it so we can have a look at it.
But what are you gonna do about it?
Contrary to what some people believe, we are supposed to deal with people who abuse bugs. The below is taken from the list of examples of rule breaking that we use.
"Exploiting a game bug with no intention of reporting it"
Therefore, if we see you bragging about abusing a bug in the game, or notice/suspect you of doing so, then we will take the necessary actions involved in dealing with you, since you've broken the ToS.
Depending on previous offences, severity of the bug, etc, the consequences could be anything from a fine, to a warning, or maybe even a ban.
What NOT to do:
a) Try to 'use' the bug. I don't care whether you're "testing" it, you shouldn't be doing it anyway. If it's something you can see clearly, and you know it's not meant to happen, it's very obviously a bug.
b) Spread the word to your friends about it, so they can use it. Just...don't. Don't encourage other players to break the rules.
c) Brag about it. Because that means we will find out. It's good for us, though. ^^
What TO do:
a) Report it on the bug board (not the mod box). Include screenshots if needed, an appropriate title and detailed description.
b) If it is a severe bug that you fear people may take advantage of, preferably send it to me via a message.
c) Leave it alone. Don't use it or spread the word, just leave it. It will be dealt with.
Hopefully I've explained it enough.
We will be keeping an eye out in future for bug abuse. And we will be dealing with people that do it.
THank you,
-Kitei
