Tara hugged Duck and pressed herself close against him. "Yes please, Jerry, thank you," she said, giving her tail a small wag. "Whose your friend?"

"There's no time for chit-chat, Tara," snapped Annabelle, "we've gotta go bandage Gumby's arm before he bleeds to death!" She grabbed Gumby by his unhurt arm and dragged him off to the living room.

Gregor scowled at Jerry and the others and stormed out of the room. He went outside and sat down on a bench behind a clump of bushes, where passerbyers couldn't see him too well. He thought hard about what to do next, and if this decision was really such a good desicion. It was certainly very risky. But maybe he could talk Tara into going after Raino, then she'd probably just die somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and Jerry would have less of a reason to kill him...

Jerry then nodded and walked down stares and was helping Gumby. He was cleaning out Gumbys wound before he started to stitch it and wrap gauze around it. "There...now I better wash off my hands..." Jerry said. He then walked to the kitchen and washed off his hands before making Tara a bowl of food and what not. He even brought her a glass of water. He set the food down on a small table next to the bed. "there you go...now rest for the night so you can heal. It takes time and so forth Tara...and my friend...well he is a bit odd if I say so myself..." Jerry said as he walked back out into the living room and sat on the couch.

I let out a sigh, hoping that Tara still could recover. I didn't care much for Gumby at the moment... at least since I still wanted to stay on Raino's good side and he still seemed to hate him terribly. "So... how much has the town changed when we were... ya know..." I spoke up, asking Annabelle that as a conversation starter.

"Are the Maybells still running that old drug store? Last thing I heard of Mr. Maybell and his family's drug store was that it was being ran down, broke almost even." I attempted to include things that didn't involve a certain someone, when I spoke.

"No, I'm afraid they're not running it anymore," said Annabelle, "I don't really know what happened to them... They might still be in town, but I don't know where they live exactly or what they do now... Another family is running the drugstore now, but I don't really know them that well, I stopped going there as often after the Maybells left... Also, that beautiful park just down the block from the school got paved, now there's a big ugly Wal-mart there instead... And that nice restaurant got burned down, but now they're building a new one... Well, quite a few things happened, it's hard to remember everything but I think that's pretty much it."
Jerry then heard the discussion and said. "Oh and didn't some of the old farm's get sold to other people and new stores op end up and the police station basically rebuilt itself if I am correct. I remember walking in the police station. It is funny how they reacted, they were all so silent watching as I went by there desk's with my dogs running around behind me." Jerry was trying to remember more things then he said. "Then the near by asylum burnt down yesterday...well half of it. They are trying to re-build it but the old...well 'boss' of the jail was stabbed to death. Most entertaining for me at least. I rather enjoyed watching that on the new's, drinking my morning tea."

Later that night, when he was pretty sure everyone else was fast asleep, Gregor snuck into the spare room where Tara was sleeping. Duck was still curled up beside her. Gregor picked up the dog, being careful not to wake him up, put him out of the room and closed the door. He shook Tara awake, covering her mouth so she wouldn't cry out.

"Wake up, you stupid dog," he growled in her ear. "Look at you, you're just a dumb pet pooch, you rely on others to feed you and care for you, but you do nothing in return. You're no use to anyone, you just get in the way, make things worse. At least most dogs actually make themselves useful, don't get in the way and don't bother anyone, or hurt anyone. But I'll get to the point. I hate you Tara. The way you've made poor Medussa feel, and the way you're obsessed with that stupid Raino... I'm tempted to kill here, right here and now, I could smother you with your pillow, or crush your stupid, thick skull and your tiny, idiotic brain with my mandibles... the only thing stopping me is Jerry's security cameras... God, I hate that Jerry almost as much as you and Raino... Anyway, why are you lying here when your precious Raino could be dying out there? Or Hitzuna might be murdering your creepy doctor friend, right now? Why are you waiting for others to do something? By the time Jerry's friend gets around to it it'll probably be too late, so why not go do it yourself right now? I should be honest, I don't care about Rattlebones or Raino or how sad you'd be if they died. I just want you to go out there and die. Get yourself killed so I don't have to do it. So get out of bed, you loathsome dog. If you can't walk, just limp, or crawl. I don't care, get out!"

Tara was shaking, too scared to speak. She quickly got out of bed and limped downstairs to get some stuff before she left. Gregor followed, saying nothing else, just watching her silently. She got an umbrella, a box of cookies, and a blanket, put the last two items in a plastic bag, and went outside. It was still raining, but she used the umbrella as a cane instead of opening it. Gregor stood in the doorway and watched her limp away back toward the graveyard for a few minutes. Finally he went back inside.

On the way, Tara somehow managed to find Raino. She knew it would be foolish to approach him, so she didn't. Instead she just threw the umbrella and the bag with the cookies and blanket in it to him, found a stick to use as a new cane and continued to limp toward the graveyard. She half hoped he'd follow her but didn't count on it.Finally she reached the graveyard. She supposed it was suicide to try to kill Hitzuna a second time in one night. But she knew that was exactly what Gregor wanted. For her to die. She started searching.

I got up as soon as she tossed the items to me, what was she attempting to do this time? She wasn't healthy enough to go around like this... "Hey, Tara... where are you going..?" I asked her after I had taken the umbrella to follow her. The destination was probably obvious, though nothing was ever as it seems nowadays.

"You should go back. You're wounded, and it's raining. Those two things put together plus being outside usually leads to bad infections, and bad infections leads to death."

"She's gonna die anyways... though the question is, can I eat her?" Arby seemed to almost laugh with those words, the dark humor was obvious.

Hitzuna was preparing body's and was inside one of the catacombs. He was cutting off the flesh and mussels of the body's that he found then was cleaning the bones off. He played music on a small radio and was silent most of the time. He then, once was finished, he dragged out a coffin and laid the bones in order and opened a small book and placed it on a small stone table. In the book was rules of how to place the body in the coffin and was to distracted by placing the bones in order that he did not pay attention to what was going on around him.

Tara stopped and turned when she heard Raino, she was suprised he had followed her even though she had been hoping he would. His words made her sad, very sad. For a minute she just stood at him and his own Infection, before finally shaking her head, her eyes deeply mournful.

"I'm sure you know where I'm going. Back to the graveyard to try to kill Hitzuna, before he kills doctor Rattlebones. I don't care if I die. You have an infection too... so... yeah... What's the point in living, then?"

She wandered into the graveyard. She didn't really know where to start looking, but then she heard music coming from one of the catacombs. Cautiously she crept inside, and sure enough, there was Hitzuna, hard at his gory, disturbing work. He was distracted. It was a perfect opportunity, she had to grab it. Cautiously, she crept toward him, sneaking up from behind, closer... closer... until finally she was close enough... to pounce! She leaped on top of him and chomped his neck. But she was weak so she wasn't sure if that would kill him or even hurt him that bad at all.

Hitzuna felt the jaws of something clamp down on his neck and cut one of the veins with a tooth. He tried to push her off but could not and was becoming weak from the loss of blood. He tried to scream but it came out almost like a hiss or a release of air like he could not breath. Then his body was limp and unconscious, his arms were down and his breathing was now slowing as he laid in his own pool of blood. His mask then fell off revealing his face that had a scar along his eye and jaw, and that his face seemed a bit frail as if he was not eating or sick.

Tara felt him go limp in her jaws. She could tell his breathing was slowing. He was dying. She had killed him. She had KILLED him. Even though she had hated him more than anything or anyone, suddenly she felt terrible. It was terrifying how easily she killed him... She gently laid him on the floor, rolled him onto his back, gazed into his fading eyes and was filled with a strange warm feeling that felt almost like love.

"I'm sorry, Hitzuna," she said. "I don't know why I'm apologizing, you're an evil man and deserve this... And I had to kill you before you killed my dear friend Doctor Rattlebones, I know nothing would have changed your mind... though I hate killing anyone, even you... but I remember what Gumby said to you, you were like him once... and perhaps like me, too... but they hurt you over and over until you stopped screaming, and if you didn't stop screaming they'd kill you... They're dead now, but you still live in the past, perhaps because it's so horrible you can't forget it... And now you're a monster like your father... Now that I think about it me and the others who went to Trent's party... we're just like you were, and we're all probably going to become what you have become. We'll all become monsters, like your father, and like Trent's father, and like you... I feel your pain... I pity you..."

She couldn't really tell if he was still alive or if he was dead. She took the remains of the corpse out of the coffin and put Hitzuna in it instead. She gently pushed down his eyelids, so his eyes were closed, and put his mask in his hand. She didn't put the lid on the coffin right away, she stood beside it and for a long time just stared down at him.

"So... you actually killed him..?" I asked what had an obvious answer. Slight surprise was completely in my voice, although I supposed that I shouldn't have been surprised at all. The only one thing that really irritated me was that... I wasn't the one to kill him.

"You know you could always get after Rattlebones or Gumby... preferably for both of us get Rattlebones first, Gumby actually isn't all that much of a threat, while Rattlebones probably wants to kill you." Arby cooed, instead of insisting on eating Tara or someone else this time he's actually insisting on something that I was wondering if I should do or not.

"You should go back, at least now Tara." I said those words, making sure not to make eye contact so that she wouldn't notice that I was thinking of doing something that usually wouldn't have been humane or right at all. But to me... this seemed like an exception. It was kind of a... die or survive situation..? I mean, I was sure that at least one of them wanted to slaughter me already.

"I'm not going back unless you go back too," said Tara. "Tony's at Jerry's house, he'll probably be sick with worry about you by now. Come with me." She opened the umbrella for him, handed it to him, took the blanket out of the plastic bag and wrapped it around him, picked up the big stick she had been using as a cane before, held it with one hand, and held Raino's arm with her other hand and started trying to drag him back toward Jerry's house. It was hard because she was so weak and tired, but she was determined.

She noticed he was avoiding eye contact with her. She knew there was a good reason for this... He was probably going to do something, something she wouldn't like... but what? Did he want to feed her to his Infection? If that was it, then she wouldn't stop him... Or did he want to hurt one of her friends? As soon as I get Raino back to Jerry's house, I'll go straight to Doctor Rattlebone's house, she thought. If I can't get him there I'll just go to the Doctor's house. Cause I wonder if Raino is after Rattlebones, those two really hate each other... I wonder if Raino is after anyone else... Hopefully no one in Jerry's house, otherwise it might be a mistake to take him there... I wonder what I should do... I want to go gaurd Rattlebones but all I could do is fill Arby's belly so he won't eat Rattlebones immediately... And I probably should rest for a little while, otherwise I'll probably die before I can protect my friends at all... I don't know what to do... I guess I'll have to see what Raino does next...

I shook my head no, then tossed the blanket so that it hit her in the face, that should make her distracted. I took off in the direction of Rattlebone's house as soon as I did that, knowing that she'd probably attempt to protect him if she got there first. I was actually highly doubtful of this all, I... how was I supposed to... kill him?

I seriously had no idea, but I guess I could provoke him and see what happens.

"Mmm... make sure he doesn't have the chainsaw before going within a yard of him, or else we both know that you're gonna loose a limb or two, and we can't have that, now can we?" Arby cooed the warning to me.

Rattlebones was sitting outside with his chainsaw on his lap. He was more trying to calm down from his break down. He was sharpening the tips of the blades. Then thought about someone he wanted to see before he died. He still thought Hitzuna and Gumby were going to kill him. He wanted to talk to Medussa and discuss something with her. He got up and held his chain saw as he started to walk towards the town. He was weak, and was bleeding out, but yet he kept walking even though he felt as if he was going to collapse.

The Fallen, And The Forgotten
Setting

His mansion and the huge basement where we were kept for 2 years. Has an indoor pool, and over 50 rooms in total, 47 of them in which are locked.

The Courtyard -

A large Courtyard surrounding the Mansion, over grown with weeds because of too little care. It extends out into the forest.

The Forest -

A large forest, with many trees in it and five clearings, only two of them in which are large. It has forest critters of all kinds, including deer.

The City -

One of the other places we once called home. The only other place was one of the farmlands. It is too large for people to continue to look for people more then a year and a half after they disappear, yet small enough for most of the social people to know nearly everyone.

Farm Lands -

Three farms, each in which have a huge corn or wheat field could have been one of our homes, even though two of them have been sold to someone else in the past year.

The Old Windmill -

Broke down 7 years ago; is now residence to mold, damp environments, and mice.

Plot

He is the fallen;

And we are the forgotten.

At First it seemed like just a game; a sweet party with our dearest of friends; Trent. His birthday had come up and we were over at his house for the party, to congratulate and spend some time with him. Everything on our end was just perfect-- then came Trent's father. He seemed almost like a predator, the way he was extra friendly with us, the look in his eyes when we accepted the drinks...

That man offered us to stay for the night. He had enough rooms, he said. Like the fools we were we accepted, some of us will never forget that smile he made...

2 years and we haven't seen the sunlight after that night. Yet one day, while checking up on us, he dies. His keys slip out, and we have the chance to be free yet again.

But the question remains;

Could we be accepted even though we are what we are now?

History

Trent was one of the first to die throughout the experiments, and he died a month after they begun. It was fall when his birthday was, meaning that it is yet again fall, 2 years afterwards.

You have been stuck and experimented on for two years until 'he' died. Now you have the chance to escape, but the scars and marks run deep on you.
