Trinity Opened her eyes and yawned. She was saprised she got any sleep with the constent groaning outsided of the barred door. It had saprised her. She had woken up and walked out into the living room The Newsman was saying something that she found quiet weird, but hey she didnt pay much attention. She walked into the kitchen to make breakfest and she is welcomed by a rotting human eating a cat on the floor.

She pushed herself up and checked her Walther P99 to make sure it was all loaded. "Good..."she murrmed sliping it back into its spot on her belt on her waist. She then grabed her loaded shotgun. She looked back at the door, which was the onlything between her and the zombies. Today she was going to break out of her own house.

Shadow plowed through the undead exceeding her normal daily quota. She was determined to kill as many of those things as she could. They were so stupid it was easy. One got a hold of her tail. Shadow recognized the one on her tail. It was the sheriff of her birth place. She'd always hated the man. But this one did not bite her. He was still alive but covered in undead stink. He'd hidden among them clinging to his pathetic life. Shadow altered her voice box and took off to deal with him. Shadow dumped the sheriff on the ground, perched in a tree, and glared with her indigo eyes. The man said her birth name "Sophia" with venom and stood glaring. He barked "Demon take the guise of the girl Sophia, The power of Christ compels you." Shadow hissed "I am no demon. Sophia is dead she died when you and the rest of that god forsaken town drove her out. I am Shadow now." The man blanched "But Sophia was a human a good girl too." Shadow glared "You and that town murdered her with your hatred, she had no choice but to become me. I am Sophia she is me. Sophia was my humanity. All that remains is my true wild nature, a shadow in the night." "I said turn back into Sophia demon." Shadow took her human form in the tree her hair was long maintaining her modesty. The man's eyes softened. "Sophia it's you-" "Do not speak that name again! I. Am. Shadow. She is gone only her memory and form remain. She was afraid of you Sheriff, afraid you'd kill her she became me to escape that fear." Shadow swung down and landed on the ground outside the lawman's reach. "Sophia fight the demon please? You can win this come back." "She can't you and your town killed her..."

Trinity crouched on the ground waiting for her signal. The Zombies where at it again clawing at her door and fiddling around to open it. It was wearing. It would break soon and her escape would be gold.

The door let out a small creak, then a loud crack and it broke. The Zombies hobbled in groaning and moaning in there way. Trinity leaped to her feet and leaped for the window. She pulled her arms in front of her face as she collided with the glass and it shattered. There was a sense of weightlessness then she fell. She rolled on the lawn and leaped to her feet. Only a few Zombies. She pulled out her shot gun and spun around and shot the closest Zombie in the head before shooting two more. Others came in serch of the noise.

"Wrong move..." she snaped to herself and broek into a fast sprint away from them.

Destiny walked around in search of a place to rest. She then ended up in a mall, because she was so desperate to just lie down and rest. Looking around, Destiny started to wonder if the mall was a good place to lie down when a zombie screeched its high pitched voice in the mall and lepted for Destiny. It landed on her her head! Destiny screamed. "GET YOUR DIRTY DING DANG HANDS OFF ME!" She yelled. Her cries had attracted other zombies. Destiny grabbed her gun and hit the zombie hard in the noggin. She shot the other zombies that dare to run towards her. Destiny ran to the door to leave. The door wouldn't open. She tried again. Wouldn't bugde. Destiny couldn't open the door, not even with her gun. "What am I gonna do?" Destiny thought.

The sheriff got angry "Shadow stop this nonsense and give her back, I'd never hurt Sophia." Shadow glared "You lie I can smell it over the stink of the real demons in human skin. They taint all they touch, they eat my animal prey and poisoned my consort. I am not a demon I am a demon slayer." The man stared and said "So you took over entirely and hunt these monsters. For a being of Satan you seem good enough." Shadow growled "I am not a demon I was born a shapeshifter, I have never done anything evil!" The shapeshifter was cold so she took dragon form, despite being reptilian the form was endothermic and suited for the cold. The sheriff shivered in the cold, While Shadow hated the man she bore him no ill will. The shapeshifter saw dry wood and made a fire pit then lit it up, the past was the past no point in dwelling on it. The man thanked her and warmed himself. Shadow burned the undead fluids off her body and got pine branches for two nests. She made her own nest and curled up. They were on a little island in a river with rocks surrounding it keeping the undead out. She'd been using it as her unofficial dwelling, there was little to no game so she had to cross the water to get food but it was safe from the undead. Shadow planned to bring more humans and her own kind to build a safe haven. They'd have to cross the river to grow and find food but it was safe to sleep at. She had yet to make herself a den but since she'd filled her quota for a few days she had the time. There was a small empty rock pool she'd used to indulge in a hot bath a few times. The sheriff needed more clothes and a hot enough bath to kill the virus to get rid of the undead stink but she'd deal with that and the den in the morning.
Destiny was dizzy and didn't know what to do, with all these infected people hanging around her. Destiny then found herself in a dark area of the mall. She pulled out her gun and held it closely to her. Just as she was about to point the gun to the floor, Detsiny bumped into a moving figure! She scream and shot her gun. Then she heard a moan, but it wasn't a zombie moan, it was more human. Destiny took out her phone and turned it on. She flashed over the figure to only find out that it was a man, who had a ugly bleeding gush on his thigh. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Destiny said, helping the man up. "Its OK," the man said. "My name is Derrick." "Destiny," Destiny replied. "Oh gosh is there anything I can do to help you?" "No," Derrick said gravely. "I'll be fine," "Are you sure? You can travel with me. I know the nearest help system," Destiny said, for she didn't want to go alone. "No, I'll be fine. Just a bottle a water would be ok." Destiny reached into her backpack and took out a water bottle. "Here," Destiny said handing the water bottle to Derrick. "Thanks," Derrick said. He took somthing out of his pocket and slipped into Destiny's backpack. Then Derrick ran off into the darkness. Destiny was a bit confused, but her feet suddenly took off after Derrick.
Shadow couldn't sleep so she went foraging through an abandoned human town. Shadow found clothes, non perishable foods, medical supplies weapons, even surviving livestock and crops. She carried what she could back and came back to herd some livestock carefully to the island. Shadow helped the larger animals over the one gap in the rocks.  Shadow would sort things out with the animals and crops later. Another shapeshifter had been laying low as a feral cat. He swam past the rocks and sat on the shore not acting like a cat at all staring at her.  Shadow fixed the gap as the undead stumbled into the water. She knew the sheriff would wake up and wonder if she'd abandoned him. Shadow would have to share her grand plan and start building the walls for a pasture and a bird yard. The cattle resembled their ancestor again hearty animals that could deal with predators besides the undead that they out ran. The fence had to keep the undead out and the stock in with enough room for them to graze and now browse. Somebody would have to clean the manure out.
