“You`re a friend?” Atria repeated incredulously “yeah right—I don`t even know you” she declare blatantly. Then she drew in a deep breath realizing snapping at this girl like that had been rude “alright look” she started “I don`t want any trouble, so I’ll try to believe you—things are just a little crazy right now so you’ll understand if I doubt you” she declared uncomfortably. She listened to the girl who had revealed her name to be Alianna, getting defensive once again at her remark about people with traits ‘does she know?’ she wondered guardedly narrowing her eyes for a moment “I’m Atria” she offered suddenly, shrugging her reservations aside for the time being, deeming it better not to call attention to her affliction with that knowledge. “Nice to meet you, and I wouldn`t know anything about that” she lied, responding to the whole people with traits thing. She detested what she had become; no way was she going to advertise it. She raised a brow at the suggestion that she go to someone’s apartment that she had just met ‘really…’ she thought in disbelief ‘what is with herHow do I even respond to that...’ she shook her head. She knew better then to go anywhere with strangers. “I’ll be fine” she affirmed assuredly “but thanks for the offer-- I might take you up on that cab though” she attempted to be friendlier with her tone. She avoided thinking about her parents, she wasn`t looking forward to showing up so late; they`d let her have it for sure. She scowled and started to turn away before thinking of the crow again, “by the way” she said turning to face Aliannna “you wouldn`t have happened to see a crow come in here would you?” she asked expectantly, glancing around again, wondering what had happened to it. It was nowhere to be seen, Atria sighed deciding it must have left at some point “forget it” she paused “it’s probably long gone by now, I just want to go home” she started to walk back toward the open door of the church ‘Hope you are alright where ever you are sweet crow’.

Alianna moan inwardly. How did she get this gorl to trust her without.. well... without telling? She didn't blame the girl in the slightest bit for not trusting a complete stranger, but she was also extreamly worried. "All right... if your sure."

She moved towards the doors of the curch... all clear for the time being. I hope to god they don't have Atria's house adress... Straigthening, she turned back around. "I'll make sure you get home..."

She was about to call a cab as she pulled out her phone. But before dialing, she paused. "The raven," she put a little emphasis on the word, "is a... really good friend of mine. She's the reason I'm here. If she;s taken a liking to you, you should know that she will be a very protective friend, and will always be there if you need her." She finished before glancing back outside.

“I’m sure” Atria nodded deliberately, this Alianna person was making her uncomfortable ‘why is she so interested anyway?’ she wondered. She heard Ailianna say she “I’ll make sure you get home” that gave her pause ‘why?’ she thought dubiously “okay…” she drew that word out a bit o convey the feeling of being weirded out “I guess that`s fine”. She started to walk outside before stopping “My house is only a few blocks from here though” she interjected as she saw Alianna pull out a phone “I could always walk, I wouldn`t want to put you out or anything” she suggested attempting to politely remove herself for this strangers company. Then Alianna spoke again and she found her interest peaked “so that super smart bird is yours?” she asked rhetorically “that`s so cool!” she chimed “so she`s a raven huh?” she thought out loud “my mistake… though they are pretty similar… and a girl too; awesome” she was happy to learn these things about her little friend, happy enough even to forget that Alianna was still a suspicious stranger for the moment. “Well if she`s you bird where is she now?” she asked keenly really wanting to see her hero bird and thank her ‘she did protect me, I owe her one’ she thought affectionately as she walked outside “I’d like to see her”.

"I'll walk you to your house, just to be sure your ok. I realize you don't trust me, but I'm not letting you go anywhere by yourself." She said, putting her phone away.

Well, crap. Alianna thought. What is a story she could spit out the girl would beleive? "She's not here anymore, she's already flown to her nest above my apartment probably. She doesn't do much night flying. She probably led you here because she knew I'd take care of you and make sure your safe." Ok, it wasn;t a lie per say, but hopefully the girl would buy it. "But maybe she'll come visit you tomarrow."

‘Do I really want to lead her to my house?’ she pondered carefully “I guess that`s alright” she shrugged and walked ahead waveringly “be sure to keep up—I walk fast” she added simply only taking pause at the admission of the ravens whereabouts. She raised a brow; somehow Ailannas tone nearly betrayed her lie. She scrutinized the girl skeptically with her gaze for a moment, before shaking her head in a ‘never mind it’ kind of way, letting such doubts slide wayside. “I`ll look forward to that” she affirmed in a contractual manner ‘if that raven led me to her and likes her I guess I shouldn`t over think this’ she assured herself “we should get going it`s not safe here” she said more kindly as she continued walking. For some reason she believed Alianna even against her better judgment. She rounded a corner onto another street hastening her pace down the street her house would be in view soon.
Alianna followed silently, keeping pace with the younger girl as easily as a... well... raven to a fledgling. Maybe it was the inner bird in her, or maybe the years of hiding, but she eyed every roof top, alleyway, street, nook, and cranny they passed. She was on edge completly, but she voiced none of her concerns to the girl. "Look I know you don't trust me, but can I at least give you my cell phone to call incase anything happens? 911 won't respond fast enough if those guys come back." She said carefully. She was worried about her friend, although Atria didn't realize they were friends.

Atria was taking the back road route home, it was a longer walk, but she wanted to stay off the main streets, much less likely to be spotted that way. “No thanks I have my own” she said simply, reaching into her pocket to show Alianna her phone before returning it there “thanks for offering though” she was attempting to be nicer as she didn`t want to come off as being hostile, she knew her attitutude had been biting and cold up to that point. The last part of what Alianna said gave her momentary pause “then why even offer in the first?” she wondered aloud incredulously “if it won`t help I mean” she added quickly, having realized that she said that out loud. “I guess if it comes to that I’ll just have to run… it worked last time” she stated glibly, a hint of doubt on her tone, but she was adequately rested and would be ready to go if it came to that; ‘I hope not’ she thought anxiously as she turned down yet another street into a ‘me too’ subdivision walking past well kept but nearly identical yards and houses.

After she rounded one last corner she finally reached her house; which wasn’t unique in any way from the others they`d passed on the way to it, other than occupying a corner lot against a strip of trees that couldn`t rightfully be called a forest but were anyway. It was a brick split-level with a small square front yard that contained hardly any landscaping; just like all the others. She hesitated, standing on the sidewalk eyeing the front door from a distance; she was not looking forward to knocking on that door; well not looking forward their reactions anyway. She sighed cavernously before speaking “thanks for walking me home” she said halfheartedly ‘though I could have got here myself’ “I can take it from here” she declared assuredly, but continued to just stand there, stalling “unless there is something else you want to discuss with me that is"'...

Alianna paused, looking around the neighborhood. "I offered because it has my back up phone in it. I have to change phones a lot..." Alianna winced, realizing how creepy that sounded. She had to change it so people she'd met and jobs she'd had could just be dropped if she had to fly under the radar.

Alianna shifted her weight uneasily, conflicted. Should she tell her, or would that freak her out? Despite Alianna's gut, she wasn't sure if this girl had a curse. If she did, that would be awesome to not be alone. But if she wasn't, then the girl would think she was nuts. "No... theirs nothing else...."

'How weird... am I really sure this girl`s legit?" Atria mentally stammered taken aback by Alianna’s admission about changing phones a lot. 'I wonder if she`s a spy' she allowed her mind to stray to that for only a moment before writing that off 'yeah right', "so you want me to call you?" she asked “how would that help?” she inquired wonderingly “it`s not like you`re any faster than 911” she added shrewdly before shrugging. After a bit she noticed Alianna looking uncomfortable upon asking her last question, she raised a brow skeptically ‘okay…that`s weird’ she thought looking Alianna over ‘what`s her deal?’ she wondered it was odd to see someone look so deep in thought over a simple question. Atria shook her head “alright, I guess this is good bye then” she sounded almost disappointed that Ailanna hadn`t kept her there talking for a bit longer, that would have given her more of an excuse to stall. She waved at Alianna as she walked on toward her house “thanks for your help back there” she said quietly, she`d been quite sardonic about the whole thing, but she really was grateful “’til we meet again I guess” she added, looking back as she went, she couldn`t shake the thought that Alianna was hiding something ‘maybe she is a spy’ she allowed her mind to stray to that dubious scenario once more ‘she does seem to know a lot about me’ she tried to convince herself feebly as she went around the side of the house. She intended to avoid a confrontation altogether by sneaking into her room. She slipped the window open and prepared to step through quietly.

Alianna had reamained silent as Atria walked away. She moved back, blending into the shadows where she wouldn't be seen but could see. She watched the girl sneak into her own room, and felt an odd sense of protectivness. "Don't get yourself to wrapped up... but I want someone to talk to so badly..."

Alianna watched the streets for a moment longer to make sure none of those grey men were watching the house before she took off towards her apartment roughly three blocks away. She kept her head down, lost in her own thought, If she could find away to truly know if this girl was cursed... maybe she wouldn't feel so alone.

Atria silent as a shadow, slid into her room, taking her boots off and tiptoes across the carpet softly, attempting to not make so much as a creak as she proceeded, and clicked the lock on her door before sighing and allowing herself to flop softly onto her bed where she commenced to staring at the ceiling. It would take a while for her parents to discover that she was in her room. That would give her time for a breather. She wasn’t worried that they would call the cops or anything. No. That simply wasn’t their way; they would think she was acting out; they would probably wait her out at least a week before they would care enough to admit that she might be missing. She sighed and frowned, they pretty much didn`t care, but they`d never miss the chance to chew her out. She had been reminded plenty of times how much of a failure she was. The last thing she wanted was them in her face yelling. She continued staring at the ceiling; there was a lot on her mind. For some reason she couldn`t get that raven or those guys in grey off of it. She still couldn`t shake the feeling that it was all connected somehow. That the day she met that raven happened to be the day freaks in suits tried to grab her, and the raven had protected her and then led her to that mysterious woman Alianna… almost as if the bird and Alianna had known those men were going to be there. ‘Alianna has to know something’ she thought uneasily ‘she knew too much… it can`t be a coincidence' she groaned still thinking agitatedly about the fact that her parents where just up stairs. She shook her head to clear it ‘I wonder if all of this is because’ she paused thinking about her affliction, just thinking about that made her feel angry, but she quickly reigned those feelings in; unwilling to lose control again ‘but how could anyone know about that?!’ she thought mildly alarmed; refusing to allow her mind to drift back to that moment in time she couldn`t think about things like that. She closed her eyes ‘what the heck is going on?’ she sighed ‘why me?’ she groaned ‘what do they want with me?’ she was getting frustrated and feeling restless. ‘Need to get my mind off of this’ she thought knowingly before pulling her covers up without even bothering to change ‘I will look for that raven tomorrow’ she decided ‘maybe Alianna will be there too, and I can demand some answers’ she thought intensely before drifting off into her daydreams. She needed to unwind; too much stress would cause bad things to happen like before, she was sure of it. Bad things seemed to happen around her a lot since then; it was disturbing.

Alianna continued in complete silence as she approached her apartment. She lived on the top floor, a small cheap place with one room and a bathroom. But, this was home to her, and she wouldn't have it any other way; not that she could afford any other way. She unlocked her door and steped in. One odd thing about her curse was anything she had in her pockets when she became a raven would reapear in her pockets when she transformed back. This was nifty, incase she was unable to fly through her open window in time.

Alianna closed the open window now to keep out the night cold. She looked out for a moment. Those grey men where in Memphis to, why are they here now? She'd never personally run into them, but she knew they went after people with curses. Alianna paced for a moment, lost in her thoughts before turning suddenly to a small desk in the corner. She scribbled somthing on a scrap peice of paper before folding an object into the paper and tapeing it shut.

After that task was finished, she changed into pajamas and lay down. She curled up in her blanket and sighed, allowing sleep to drag her under.

Wow, a lot has gone on yesterday, but now it is a new day.

Today is Thursday, and the weather is still clear. The thunderstorm is due to hit late friday night to early saturday morning. It is a little cooler out today than yesterday, the high being about five dregrees cooler.

It is about ten muinets until sunrise. People are begining to stir and go to work if they haven't already. School will start in about and hour; so the kids have somewhere to go.

Atria opened her eyes. It had been a mostly sleepless night as her mind had been swimming; too many questions, not enough answers. She rose out of bed with single minded determination, relieved that her presence still hadn’t been discovered.  She hurriedly changed cloths into a similar but warmer outfit before slipping on her boots and cautiously peering out her window prior to stepping through and slinking across the street and then behind the adjacent row of houses; anything to keep from being detected. She had wanted to clean up, but going out into the house simply had not been an option in her mind. ‘I’m sorry’ she though penitently in regards to her parents, she didn`t like the idea of making them believe she had gone missing, but at the same time she found it difficult to believe that they cared. She was conflicted. That didn`t stop her however--she continued along, staying out of peoples ways to avoid crossing paths with anyone that would recognize her. It was refreshing to actually see people out and about; it made the previous night seem like nothing more than a weird dream. She`d deal with that problem later, first thing was first; she needed to find that raven.

She made her way to the park, though she was hesitant to return there, considering what had happened before; it was the only place she knew to look. After scrutinizing the area carefully, she spotted nothing of concern. No sign of the freaks in grey anywhere. Still, she undertook a side route into the park over a fence just to be safe. She` d be less likely to be spotted that way. She plopped down onto the bench next to the very same fountain she`d interacted with the raven previously, and waited. At that point she actually wished she had taken Aliannas phone or at least followed her to apartment, because she had no idea how to find her or contact her now, ‘stupid, stupid’ she berated herself her untrusting nature ‘oh well, I guess all I can do is wait…’

Alianna had woken up early that morning, and quickly took a shower and changed into her day cloths. She wore jeans, as always, and a plain light blue t-shirt. She threw on a jacket and opened the window. The sun's rays were just now peaking over the horizon.

Alianna shrunk, sprouting feathers and a beak. It was all but normal for her now. She jumped onto the window sill and opened her wing to streach he wings. The folded paper from the night befor griped in her talons, she launched into the air with a caw. She circled for a moment, debating what to do. She flew off towards Atria's house, peeking in the window she watched the girl sneek into. Seeing signs that she'd already left, Alianna flew towards the park to check.

Alianna saw Atria, and cawed out a greeting. She dove, and landed next to the girl. I'm glad to see your ok. She thought. She pecked at the paper, and dropped it into the girl's lap. It was a note...

Dear Atria,

I wrote this note trusting the raven would deliver it to you. The raven and
I actually share the same name. I will be unavailable until sundown, but the raven will look after you until then. My phone number in 445-2904 to call if you need something tonight,
The necklace included is for you. I picked it up on impulse and didn't really need it. I thought you may like it.
Sincerly, Alianna

The necklace was a thin gold chain with a silver feather pendant on it. The edges of the feather had onyx set into it.

Alianna nuged this note and present to make sure Atria knew to open it.

It is the standard Role-play rules, no mod-godding, no cussing, ECT. For now, The Grey Men will not be playable, though they will be once the RP gets established. I may add things as the RP progresses, I want this RP to be character driven. So Have Fun!
