Spinosaurus

Name	Spinosaurus aegyptiacus	Information
Diet	Carnivorous	Spinosaurus is the largest meat eating dinosaur ever to have walked the earth and would have looked down over other giant species, such as Tyrannosaurus Rex. It had a long, narrow snout much like a crocodile and is mostly known for the large sail on its back. The property for it is unknown and suggestions have stretched from it being a large, fat-filled hump to a sail, used for controlling body temperature and displaying for mates. It is thought that due to Spinosaurus' jaw, it would have been excellent at catching fish and may have lived on a mainly fish diet.

		It has been thought since the mid 1970s that Spinosaurus may have at least been an occassional quadrupedal and walked on all fours, particularly upon the discovery of Baryonyx, a relative to Spinosaurus with very strong arms. This idea has since been dismissed by scientists but it is believed Spinosaurus may have at least crouched down on all fours every so often.
