Fact Files

Coelophysis
Name Coelophysis Bauri Information
Diet Carnivorous Coelophysis was a swift, agile predator that roamed through late triassic New Mexico, assumably in packs. With its body built perfectly for speed and agility as opposed to brute strength, it's likely that it would have scavenged a lot of meals or hunted small mammals and lizards of the time. Given that Coelophysis had claws capable of grasping things, it is thought that perhaps it would have held its prey after catching it.
