Fenra cussed under her breath over and over as she stood there, completely irrelevant to the world at the moment. She noticed Moon trying her best not to look or to laugh and the wolf-lord's cheeks flushed with utter embarrassment. Fenra stood there still for quite some time before coming up with an idea she most certainly should not do.

"I do apologize Moon, but could you turn around? I need to change and well...I think you understand." Fenra said with a smooth voice and grinned a little, thinking personal thoughts in her own head. As she walked away, Fenra was almost certain the snow leopard gulped.

With her body turned away from Moon, Fenra gave a devilish smirk as she stepped out of the soup soaked pants. Turning back once in a while to see if Moon was, perhaps, staring, Fenra walked around the house in her underwear, then got herself a new pair of pants.

Little Roxanne had a problem in the form of a were bear wanting a battle axe that was too big for her to make alone, for those you also needed a mold that she didn't have... She had to go to Sojiro for the thing and ask for help... It took them a few hours just to melt the metal down for use and it took their combined efforts to pour it into the mold to set... The werebear was shooed and it was explained that his order could take days if not weeks to complete... They couldn't quench the axe until it was strong enough... This would take a while...

It had taken a while but she had finished stitching together a pelt that looked very similar to the werewolf that had growled at her. This would show that wolf. To ensure it's quality though it might be best to get a second opinion. Mavelle put the hat on and made her way to the blacksmith, Roxanne. She probably had a better idea of what the werewolf looked like and would likely know if the hat looked close enough to his face.

She walked into Roxanne's store and walked up to her, not caring if she happened to be busy or not. Once she was sure she had caught Roxanne's attention she pointed at the hat made of a wolf's pelt, "Does it look like anyone in particular?"

Moon blushed a little, "Of course, I can see why..." Moon turned more slowly than she needed until she ended up with her back to Ferna. She quietly thought to herself about anything and everything the house was very quiet the only sounds were from the tiny rustling of Fenra moving.

Moon was more than tempted to turn back around, but respected Fenra's privacy. Moon thought to herself, *I know I would be angry if someone turned around and looked and I told them not too.* Moon decided to add a bit of conversation it was getting too quiet, "So, Fenra, how long have you lived here?

Roxanne took one look and started laughing "Yeah it looks like Max's father! The guy who tripped over you!" Sojiro chuckled and said "That is cruel... Something my sister would do. I know I should not laugh but hell it's funny... She could never do it to me because there has yet to be a mundane white fox with two tails... Lady Kitsune smiles upon pranks while Lady Draconis your patron frowns upon pranks..." Lady Draconis was the more or less mother to all reptile weres and was a dragon... Foxes had their own patron while most weres had a common one to their beast form's general groups, Lady Pheonix for birds, Draconis for reptiles, and so on... Most weres thought there was just the father of all weres. Roxanne explained a few members of the actual pantheon. "All of the goddesses are consorts of Lycaeon... The lesser gods are said consort's brothers... Lycaeon gave them shall we say a promotion..."

Fenra slid the fabric onto her legs then heard Moon speak up from her sitting position on the couch.

"Oh, well I've lived here since..uh, about 17 I believe. I came from Dumbrock after my mother died. I resented my dad because he did nothing to care for her when she was ill and immediately took another wife 4 days after her passing. I immediately moved out and spent time on the road from place to place and Lord Bron appointed me the Horse Master because he knew who my father was." Fenra answered Moon's question. She finally got her pants on and told me she could turn around.

"Sorry for the wait love, I didn't have any clean pants on the hamper, so I had to walk back to my bedroom and grab a pair." Said Fenra as she smiled at Moon.

A prank? Mavelle felt this was less of a prank and more of a revenge or at least a deterrent. She planned on putting the pelt in the window of her shop to increase the chances of the werewolf seeing it.

The first comment Sojiro made caught her attention. You didn't need to find a fox with two tails. You could simply stitch the tails of two separate foxes onto the same pelt easily, though it took skill to make it look seamless. Skill she had. You didn't necessarily need to wait for winter to get a white fox pelt either. There were certain materials she could find to bleach the fur if necessary. Sojiro's sister must not be that talented was her first thought.

The talk of Lady Draconis simply annoyed her. She was a crocodilian were, not some mythical dragon. She really could care less. As far as she was aware dragon weres didn't and never had existed. A dragon wasn't a crocodile, or a snake, or a lizard. Lycaeon was at least rumored to be an existing species of were, not some fantastical beast or legend. "Well Lady Draconis will have to learn how to deal with pranks then." She couldn't be charged for heresy unless she made a comment against Lycaeon.

Roxanne and Sojiro just dropped it and got back to work... Roxanne was carving the handle of the battle axe and throwing the wood shavings in the forge... "So what else brings you here?" Sojiro was cutting leather strips for the grip... "Where I am from we would use shark skin for a superior grip... But I also come from a place where there are only were foxes... Another village has were deer but my town is full of foxes... The neighboring village was strictly vegitarian..." Sojiro stopped grumbling and got back to work... The dagger with the fur was sitting out in the open as was a very nice hunting knife... Roxanne looked up from her work to say "Sorry this is a large order..."
Leaping from the ground the young were-lord yanked the small blade from his belt, his paws curled firmly around the hilt. Circling around with the blade pointed ahead his eyes darted around the trees, searching for the shadow that seemed to have vanished completely. Finding nothing in his quick glance he turned to the tiger-lord beside him.

"Okay quick question- probably should have asked this before leaving- how exactly do we kill this?" He asked the question that finally came to mind. He mentally questioned himself as to why he hadn't asked earlier. Probably because he was a bit busy thinking of what he would be having for dinner. Revolt has his priorities straight.

Roxanne got another order right there with the gator lord standing there. Someone's trap needed sharpening. She saw a bear trap and said "These are cruel I do not fix these... Besides they damage the fur in the first place... It's pointless to repair this..." The human hunter left and Samson the werebear came in. "I need nails and my chisels sharpened again..." Roxanne melted iron and poured it into molds and took the chisels to the grind stone honing them to a fine edge in a matter of minutes... "I'll let you know when your nails are done... You know the process... Speaking of work I need more of those thin flexible boards." "Layers of paper would be cheaper..." "But not as strong... I use them for scabbords. I use them to support the leather..." "I see... Alright I'll see what I can do any particular wood?" "Pine is easier to work but not as strong as hardwood."

Roxanne finished her business and turned back to the gator deciding to bring up the gods again. "Most only worship Lord Lycaetheon... I believe all the gods and goddesses deserve some worship... We all have a father and a mother... Lady Draconis has traits of all were reptiles... I suppose we all have a right to worship as we please or not at all... There is no crime in that." Some would call not worshiping herasy and most would call not worshipping properly sacrilige but it was not illegal...

Really? A bear trap cruel? Not any crueler than wearing a beast out and shooting arrows at it until it hopefully dies. At least with a trap it made a successful kill much quicker and easier. Better than the beast dying days later from injuries. Sure such traps damaged the fur but not any more than twenty some arrows sticking into it's hide. The human hunter would simply go to a different blacksmith, turning them down was a poor buisiness practice. They would tell their other hunting friends that Roxanne had turned down his trap and the fox lord could potentially lose other customers. It was more foolish than a bold act.

"I suppose so," the comment was slighty mocking. The fox had been so certain she wouldn't fix the hunter's trap, and of the type of wood she needed, but as soon as the topic of religion was brought up she seemed uncertain. Perhaps the only thing Roxanne was certain of was her job. Mavelle happened to be overcritical of most were's.

Roxanne got another hunter with a very different tool of choice a crossbow a powerful one. Powerful enough and precise enough to go through an eye socket or through another part of a creature's skull for a much cleaner kill. It needed new bolts and Roxanne started mass producing them. Her speed was the reason even if she repeatedly denied bear traps service hunters came to her time and again... Roxanne's sleeve was pulled up and exposed why she was so opposed to bear traps she'd been in one and had been lucky enough to just have a scar for it but it was a distinct wound that the gator lord would most likely recognize and understand Roxanne's aversion to that trap...

The tiger-lord sniffed the air, trying to get a good wrap on where the Walking Shadow was. They were horrid creatures with an equally horrid stench. They smelled of rotten flesh mixed with the pungent odor of decay and death. A Walking Shadow was a sickly looking creature, reminiscent of the frame of Slender Man. Their body is slim and frail, looking like a skeleton with black skin on it. Some have horn-like ridges protruding from their tarry skin and some have teeth. Their blood oozes black goo and a trail of black smoke flows in short distance wherever they go. In the dark they are almost impossible to locate if you are not a were-lord with a good sense of smell. They make almost no sound until they are upon you, emitting a shrieking sucking sound as they turn your body into dead ash.

"To be blunt Revolt, we must decapitate it." The man said without looking at the younger were-lord. Morgan looked around as the sun soon fell behind the trees of the clearing, leaving a shadowy haze over the land.

"He will be hard to track now. Look, the black blood the demon left. It leads into the woods. I believe it is hurt and weak. It won't pose much of a threat till it can muster up the energy to regenerate its arm. Come Revolt." The tiger lord announced, sheathing his sword. Morgan stalked into the forest with a cat-like grace and used his extreme sense of smell as he followed the putrid odor of the black blood. There was a haze on the forest and the sounds of creatures made the oramge fur on the back of Morgan neck stood on end.

"Revolt, to your 4 o'clock. It's here." Morgan announced as he heard the dying shriek of a deer. The poor creature was getting the life sucked out of it.

Mavelle did notice the scar but this didn't change her opinion. Bear traps had been used once or twice to help catch and kill walking shadows. Used effectively they could help protect the village from predators or enemies. It wasn't like the traps simply didn't exist if she didn't fix them. It was best Roxanne just get over her fear and fix the traps because chances were they were never going away. "You're just losing customers by turning down bear traps. You're not changing anything." It was certainly bold of the fox were to do so though.

The gator lord would have criticized her for not turning away the hunter as well as she'd think she was spineless. Mavelle wasn't an easy person to gain approval from from any were.

Roxanne wasn't paying the gator much mind but Sojiro said "That is her decision and this is her smithy. Were you in my residence across the street I might be inclined to throw you out for disrespectful behavior." Roxanne said "Sojiro do not be rude to a guest in my house please. I apologize for not being a better hostess but as you can see Mavelle I am very busy." Roxanne was hopping from one thing to another preparing the bolts that had cooled for fletching. The fletching was to make the projectile spin and achieve greater penetration. The feathers had to be changed every so often because the gore would ruin them... Which was a time consuming process but well worth it. Roxanne had actually invented this particular bolt herself and was the only one who seemed able to mass produce them...

At Earth's End: Shifters
Setting

You live in the Tribe of Awmsk. The tribal land has many forests and mountains ranges, being a mix of both Russian and North Amercian terrain. It snows 4 out of the 12 months a year but is typically a sunny place. The Kaichu den here lies on BreakBack Mountain, north of the tribal village.

The tribal village is very large, as the Tribe of Awmsk is the most powerful one in the entirety of Earth's End. Your tribe is best known for its cunning warriors and state of the art weaponry. Awmsk is also the tribe responsible for choosing the King's gaurd and army every year.

As for the village, there is a large fence that stands 20 feet high and circles the perimeter of the village. In the center is the Lord's hut and connected to that is the main watch tower. Surrounding it is a multitude of villages, shops, and blacksmiths. There is two exits and entries of the village, one at the front gate and one to the rear.

Plot

In the land of Earth's End, strange, if not magical, creatures reside. Sometimes, they look just like you and I but sometimes, they take the form of a beast. Earth's End is ruled by were-lords, people who can turn into were-animals at will. Each region contains a tribe of its own with were-animals that dominate is terrain.

There are several Tribes at Earth's End, creating a network of supplies leading to The Great Fortress, Earth's End's mightiest castle and supreme ruler. This is where the great Thule lives as King and ruler of Earth's End. Thule is a mighty Rhino-Lord.

You shall live in the Tribe of Awmsk.

However magical it may seem, Earth's End is plagued by an unruly evil. Each night, between 12:00 and 3:00 am, mysterious insects called Kaichu, thumb sized bugs that look like grasshoppers, crawl out of their caves soley to plague the land. If bitten by a Kaichu, the wound will boil and swell with the toxins, then its venom will release into the body while turning the victim to ash within 2 minutes. Tha ash left behind by the victim will the create a Walking Shadow, a monster unseen or unheard, a warrior of the dead. The Kaichu were not always there, but were put there by a person of unknown identity. The only way you escape the Kaichu is by staying indoors at night, locking and sealing all doors and windows.

Recently, the number of Kaichu killings has sky rocketed, leading Earth End's people to suspect whoever put the Kaichu bug in the land has returned. You must do whatever it takes to stop this plague.

History

For thousands of years, were-lords have ruled Earth's End. The land has seen many great Kings and many bad ones. The were-lords use their ability for battle, hunting, working, and to better extend their abilities. The people of this land worship the God, Lycaeon, father of the shifters.

Some people in Earth's End do not have the ability to shift into a were. This is uncommon however. The were gene is hereditary and is usually passed down to the male offspring from the father's side and to the females the mother's side. For example, if the mother is a horse-lord and the father is a wolf-lord, their male offspring will almost definetly be werewolves and the female offspring with almost certainly be horse-lords.

Also, the human will take some attributes as the were they shift into. For example, a tiger-lord would have subtly orange skin or a bear-lord would be considerably hairy. A gator-lord may have tuff, possibly hard skin, and a snow leopard-lord would have subtle spots on their skin.

This land is of magic. Use it well.

Rules

-When creating a character, state their were-animal and describe it as well.

-When creating a character, be sure to make them within the plot, meaning make sure they are relevant to the village and will have some sort of place there.

-Be nice and respectable to other players.

-No killing off other people's character without their permission.

-Life isn't all magic and butterflies, you live in a cruel world; therefore, you will suffer at times.
