Roxanne actually did not feel quite so comfortable with so much money on hand but she didn't want to just spend it right away either... So she decided to go and invest the money in things she needed for work and a few things she needed anyways... First stop the tanner, then the refinery for metal, back to Samson for those thin flexible bits of wood, a shipment of coal, the apothicary and market for the things she used for her lotion and lip balm. She bought groceries and still had a bit much in terms of money but she didn't feel nervous about having it around.

Then some of Thule's guard came to her shop asking if she had seen Arthur of the House of Vulpis. "I made him a sword with his family jewels earlier and he left why?" The leader of that group said "He is under investigation in his father's death." Roxanne said "Please don't tell me I have to give my pay back I invested the bulk of it in supplies." "No of course not it was a perfectly legal course of action." The man was clearly another siberian tiger and massive. His cat green eyes narrowed as he inhaled trying to smell the were fox out. The guard left and Roxanne breathed a sigh of relief. Now she had nothing to do at all...

Believe it or not Moon became even paler. Moon closed her eyes, she could see it now. Her riding Dessie with Ferna, Des rounds a corner perfectly; Moon feels herself slip from the horse and splat! Moon would be flat on her face in the mud, probably, with her luck. Moon opened her eyes she squeaked out, "Umm... How about I change and I run along side?" Moon looked quickly from Dessie to the ground, she has never rode before. "I don't know if I will be able to ride her..." A pause "Well, it would be fun to see who is faster, me or Des."

Roxanne remembered she had some mending to do and started sewing to mend a worn seam in her festival dress a dark green velvet garment with a leather bodice. She had a silk hair ribbon and green velvet slippers to go with it... Sojiro came in and sat across from Roxy in her chair. "I must ask you if you are going to come with me to my homeland?" Roxanne said "Something is telling me to stay... I have been having dreams of a golden fox with nine tails in some sort of robe telling me to stay." Sojiro said "You have seen Lady Kitsune one of the consorts of Lycaeon... So we must remain..." Sojiro's white hair made him appear much older than he really was but he was still a young man... Roxanne actually found it handsome...

Fenra was slightly disappointed the pale girl refused her offer in riding Des with her, but she understood Moon was only nervous. But when Moon challenged her lovely Des to a race, Fenra wasn't feeling so disappointed anymore.

"Sure. If you think you can out run her, give it a go. Imperial Warmbloods are known for the stamina and strength. Let's see what you've got snow leopard." Fenra retorted with an devilishly playful smirk. The wolf-lord looked to the course in front her, the way to her house full of jumpable fences, corners, and straight aways. The black mare was trained for endurance jumping and riding and Fenra felt no pressure in starting the race.

"Well go on and shift lassy. Winner gets a prize of their choosing." Fenra chuckled and mounted Des, the black horse snorting with an air of pride.

Moon breathed in deeply and as she exhaled felt her skin wash away to her other sleeker one. Her smell, hearing, and vison grew sharper; Moon stretched her limbs and looked at Des. From her point of view the horse looked giant.

Moon flicked her tail indicating to Fenra to follow her, with Des of course. Moon made a line in the road with her claws; she patted a little away from the line, then returned, as if warming up.

*Oh, boy.* Moon thought, *I haven't changed in awhile I think I am getting rusty. Is that even possible?* Moon stood on the line and took a running stance. A passerby was kind enough to start off the race.

The race was quite exhilrating; Moon was in the lead, but soon slowed down by a sudden curve. She jumped over a fence and buckled to catch up. She was almost pass Des when she tripped...

The black horse sprung from the starting line, powerful hindquarters propelling her and Fenra forward. Moon caught a beginning lead but slowed a little when she rounded a corner, still in front of the team. Fenra spurred Des on, leading her perfectly to hurdle a merchant's fence, Des taking it well as the jump was only about 3 ft high.

The wolf-lord looked back to see their skills had paid off as Moon was falling behind. They went around a series of corners till the pair burst through the designated finish line, the snow leopard now even in sight. Fenra looked back, becoming worried as she couldn't find Moon and was worried something happened to her. She then saw Moon's white pelt laying down in a heap of hay.

"Oh Moon!" Fenra shouted to the leopard, as she clearly looked hurt. Fenra tied Des to a post and the horse happily ate a basket of somebody's apples. The wolf-lord transformed, as she knew she wouldn't be able to carry Moon in her human form if she had something broken. Chocolate brown fur sprouted from her pours all over her body as her muzzle extended, covering itself in black fur. Fenra claws grew out to a sharp point and fangs extended themselves from her gums. Thankfully, due to her baggy shirt, her clothes did not rip when she transformed. Her bushy dark brown and black tail did rip a hole in the back of her pants however.

In full werewolf form, Fenra sprinted down the long stretch of the course to where Moon lay in the haystack. Reaching the leopard Fenra attempted to rise her, but Moon must've been unconscious because she did not respond. Fenra picked the were-lord, carrying her bridal style back to her house for treatment. Fenra was surprised how light Mon actually was, though she was a cat-lord. They typically don't get very heavy, at least not the leopards and the lynxes. Even so, Fenra's were form was incredibly strong and durable.

Carrying Moon took little effort for the wolf-lord and Fenra soon returned to her house, carefully laying moon down on her couch in the sitting room. She grabbed a hot cup of tea for her to drink and a wet rag to place on her forehead. She then took the newspaper she was reading earlier and placed it beside Moon on the tar by her tea. Fenra then curled up in her sitting chair, still werewolf, and read a book as she waited for the snow leopard to awaken.

Moon had a scattered dream with shadowy figures of a memory she couldn't quite remember. She felt, more than saw, the figures fade away.

Moon felt very relaxed and well rested, she opened her eyes immediately she thought, Where the hell am I?* It took a few seconds before she could remember what happened. Moon moved slightly, she was still in her were form, sitting up slowly she saw Fenra and gave her a look of pure embaressment. She trotted off the couch to get changed back.

When she plopped back into the couch she took the cup of tea and drank a sip. She saw Fenra looking at her with a questioning look so Moon had to explain, "Hey, don't look at me like that! I would have totally won if I didn't fall! Not that I fall a lot..." Moon suddenly looked away and laughed. "Ok, that's a complete lie I fall all the time." Moon drank more of her tea looking around the room.

Fenra waited a while for Moon to wake up again, still in her were form curled up with a good book. She had put Des back only a few minutes before the snow leopard finally woke up. Fenra has just sat back down, still a werewolf, when Moon got up and changed back into human form, Fenra straining herself not to look. The wolf-lord couldn't help but feel something for the pale-haired girl. The feeling she got when she held her against her chest as she carried her....it was mesmerizing.<*>

Moon came back to sit down on the couch and take a sip of her tea. This was the first time Fenra had looked up since Moon has awoken. She gave the girl a questioning look as she spoke.

"Im sure you would've won love." Fenra said calmly with a smooth voice. "Oh careful there, you have a large notch on your head. I don't know if you remember, but you took quite a spill." Fenra added, running to the sink and grabbing a fresh washcloth, then came back to kneel in front of Moon and dabbing at the bloodied wound on her head. The bright crimson of the blood was obviously evident in Moon's light hair. "So...while we are held up here for a little while you recover a bit, tell me about yourself." Fenra asked, her face inches away from Moon's as she continued to dab at the cut on her scalp. The wolf-lord held back a blush.

*She is just rubbing it in! She doesn't even care I fell.* Moon thought loudly to herself. Fenra said something about a notch so Moon reached up to inspect it. "Seriously, again?" Moon sighed at the blood now on her hands, this happens way too much.

Suddenly Moon felt a wet cloth on her head; Fenra was dabbing at the wound. *Or maybe she does? I don't know.* Moon looked into her electricfying green eyes for a second then began too say a few things about herself.

"Well, I am from the Tribe of Weshder, pretty far away from here. My parents are dead from the Kaichu. After that I felt like I couldn't stay there so I ran until I came here..." Moon stopped holding back a lot of her history. *If any one knew then I would surely be casted out.*

Roxanne was actually considering visiting the gator... The wolves were back and Maxwell had apologized after speaking with his grandfather. Said grandfather was a proud man and apologizing for the group's behavior. "I do not know what came over my clan. But I assure you they will not show such disrespect again." Roxanne said "I refuse to allow a customer to insult a guest in my house. Or vise versa." "I understand the sentiment. You will not withold business from us for this I hope." "Of course not. Although your son did attempt to get a refund for something I did not originally make but improved upon..." "That sounds like my son. He insists my grandson takes up the spear and to that end gave him a bad sword." "I would also appreciate if they stopped prowling around my home unless it is part of their patrols for the day." "I will see to it the harassment stops good day my dear."

"I'm terribly sorry about your parents Moon...I understand that's like. My mother died of disease when I lived in Dumbrock with my father." Fenra said in response to Moon's tragic reality, which was also her's as well. The loss of a parent is a hole in you heart that never goes away. It may fade and possibly shrink, but the hole never does close completely and can never be refilled. "I'm also very sorry I caused you to fall. I'd never want to see you get hurt. The wound on your head isn't too bad though, it should heal up soon and thankfully you landed in a haystack or it could've been much worse. I'm not even sure what you hit in the first place. You were out cold when I carried you back to my house." Fenra added, giving Moon the details of her accident. The female wolf-lord then got up and took the drying washcloth back to the kitchen and asked Moon if she would like a bit of soup, chicken soup to be specific. The snow leopard replied back with a yes so Fenra eagerly brought her a warm, frothy bowl and placed it in front of her.

"Weshder is a lovely place especially in the winter aye? It's up north I think. I've visited my aunt there a few times. She's a wolf-lord as well. My family goes back for generations and generations of wolf-lords. My father was as was my mother, going all the way back to the begining of time. I suppose it's some sort of tradition to marry and wolf-lord...." Fenra trailed off,"...anyway, perhaps you don't want to hear about me.....I believe you mentioned something about being cast away or thrown out? Why is that? I'm sure Lord Bron wouldn't have you thrown out. Nether would Lord Morgan, his son. So why do you say that?" Fenra remembered, now sitting on the coffee table in front of Moon.

Moon laughed a bit, "In truth I am pretty sure I tripped over my own paws." She covered her face with her hands, embarrassed.

Moon listened to what Fenra had to say; in many ways their history was the same, but in others completly different. When she finished Moon said, "You were in Weshder? Actually, I think I remember the family you're talking about! I never talked to them, or saw them, just heard about them. It's amazing we didn't cross paths sooner."

Moon took a deep breath, "And about being cast out... It is mostly because of my parents; they were scientists whom studied the Kaichu. They taught me everything they found out about Kaichu and had many close calls with them. Families didn't like my parents poking around and had their children shun me, so I spent many day on my own playing in the snow." Moon looked down, "One day I was playing in fresh powder a ways away from the village. I didn't even know what happened until I came back to town." Moon paused thinking about what she was going to say. "Everyone was staring at me with pity, hate, or sadness. When I finally made home there were snow owl-weres in the house, they were the messangers, they told me my parents died after a few kaichu escaped containment. The Weres went on to tell me that the Kaichus that escaped bit the Princess, Lord Bron's only daughter. For penelty of my parents crime, murder of the princess, I was to go to a trial and await my punishment. I was terrified, so I grabbed what I could and ran away that night."

Moon gave a shuddered breath. "I ran south, I heard of a bounty on my name, so I changed it. I lived in fear for years always looking over my back, and I was only thirteen..." Moon stopped unable to go on.

Moon's story had Fenra feeling engaged yet sorrowful, as she felt bad for Moon that her past had left her with nothing but no where to belong. Her facial expression at the end was a mixture of shock and bewilderment. Fenra's jaw even hung open a little bit with outrage

"I was around for the death of Princess Malana....it was tragic. I hadn't known it was your parents who had the Kaichu. They did great work, but unfortunately it ended in great despair..." Fenra looked down towards the space in between her feet, still sitting on the table im front of Moon as the leopard took a sip of her soup. "I don't know why you would be tried for your parents mistake....you had nothing to do with it you were only a kid. You had no business in the matter, it was your parents work." Fenra said, sounding a bit angry. Fenra got up, but in her haste, spilled the half full bowl of soup on her lap. The hot soup seared her skin and made her pants all soggy.

"Oh dammit!" The wolf-lord shouted as she scrambled to clean up the hot mess from her lap. Moon helped too, picking up the bowl and using the towel on her head to mop up the contents of the bowl. "Im so sorry." Fenra added, pulling the sides of her soaked pants. The wetness was mainly in her crotch area, making it seem like she had accidently wet herself. Fenra was mortified and dearly hoped Moon wasn't paying close attention to where the wetness was....Fenra blushed immensely....

Roxanne got an invitation to the capital for her sword... The house of Vulpis wanted her to become their personal weapon smith... She actually replied to the messenger "My place is here but I welcome the noble's business. This is the forge I am most comfortable with. I must respectfully decline." The messenger was a grey fox and seemed disappointed but accepted the answer and as he left he said "You would do better surrounded by your own race..." "Something is telling me to remain here. I cannot explain it but just leaving this place feels wrong... Consider this place a calling..." For were foxes there seemed to be a drive to find some place and or profession where they are needed. They called it their calling. Roxanne was lucky that her calling seemed to be right there... At least for the moment.

Moon felt udder relief that Fenra didn't hate her for her past. So many people she has told throught the years tried turning her in or telling her to turn herself in. But Fenra was the only person that really seemed a bit peeved that Moon had to go to trial for her parents and, for some reason, it made Moon's heart flutter a bit.

Moon was help cleaning up the mess when she noticed where the soup spilled. Moon had a huge grin on her face, but acted, or try to act, like she never seen it. Moon was having a very difficult time keeping a laugh down.

At Earth's End: Shifters
Setting

You live in the Tribe of Awmsk. The tribal land has many forests and mountains ranges, being a mix of both Russian and North Amercian terrain. It snows 4 out of the 12 months a year but is typically a sunny place. The Kaichu den here lies on BreakBack Mountain, north of the tribal village.

The tribal village is very large, as the Tribe of Awmsk is the most powerful one in the entirety of Earth's End. Your tribe is best known for its cunning warriors and state of the art weaponry. Awmsk is also the tribe responsible for choosing the King's gaurd and army every year.

As for the village, there is a large fence that stands 20 feet high and circles the perimeter of the village. In the center is the Lord's hut and connected to that is the main watch tower. Surrounding it is a multitude of villages, shops, and blacksmiths. There is two exits and entries of the village, one at the front gate and one to the rear.

Plot

In the land of Earth's End, strange, if not magical, creatures reside. Sometimes, they look just like you and I but sometimes, they take the form of a beast. Earth's End is ruled by were-lords, people who can turn into were-animals at will. Each region contains a tribe of its own with were-animals that dominate is terrain.

There are several Tribes at Earth's End, creating a network of supplies leading to The Great Fortress, Earth's End's mightiest castle and supreme ruler. This is where the great Thule lives as King and ruler of Earth's End. Thule is a mighty Rhino-Lord.

You shall live in the Tribe of Awmsk.

However magical it may seem, Earth's End is plagued by an unruly evil. Each night, between 12:00 and 3:00 am, mysterious insects called Kaichu, thumb sized bugs that look like grasshoppers, crawl out of their caves soley to plague the land. If bitten by a Kaichu, the wound will boil and swell with the toxins, then its venom will release into the body while turning the victim to ash within 2 minutes. Tha ash left behind by the victim will the create a Walking Shadow, a monster unseen or unheard, a warrior of the dead. The Kaichu were not always there, but were put there by a person of unknown identity. The only way you escape the Kaichu is by staying indoors at night, locking and sealing all doors and windows.

Recently, the number of Kaichu killings has sky rocketed, leading Earth End's people to suspect whoever put the Kaichu bug in the land has returned. You must do whatever it takes to stop this plague.

History

For thousands of years, were-lords have ruled Earth's End. The land has seen many great Kings and many bad ones. The were-lords use their ability for battle, hunting, working, and to better extend their abilities. The people of this land worship the God, Lycaeon, father of the shifters.

Some people in Earth's End do not have the ability to shift into a were. This is uncommon however. The were gene is hereditary and is usually passed down to the male offspring from the father's side and to the females the mother's side. For example, if the mother is a horse-lord and the father is a wolf-lord, their male offspring will almost definetly be werewolves and the female offspring with almost certainly be horse-lords.

Also, the human will take some attributes as the were they shift into. For example, a tiger-lord would have subtly orange skin or a bear-lord would be considerably hairy. A gator-lord may have tuff, possibly hard skin, and a snow leopard-lord would have subtle spots on their skin.

This land is of magic. Use it well.

Rules

-When creating a character, state their were-animal and describe it as well.

-When creating a character, be sure to make them within the plot, meaning make sure they are relevant to the village and will have some sort of place there.

-Be nice and respectable to other players.

-No killing off other people's character without their permission.

-Life isn't all magic and butterflies, you live in a cruel world; therefore, you will suffer at times.
