Eve paid little mind to the sunny sky above her as she raced to the first dino enclosure from the main lab. Ever since the number of battling dinosaurs went above 100, she hadn't been able to manually battle the dinosaurs herself, but she still preferred to be there when the vet did.

Tripping over a random branch in the road, she whipped around the corner to the Allosaurus enclosure, where Darling was standing patiently in front of Rosalie, the battle veterinarian. She growled affectionately, and Eve gave her a pat before turning towards the woman.

"Alright! Sorry I'm late, but I appreciate you waiting for me."

Rosalie nodded. "Not a problem, shall we begin?"

Eve watched disdaintfully as Rosalie battled the dinos, occasionally making mistakes that cost them the fight.

'I miss battling my dinos,' Eve thought as they finished for the day.

For Sam it was almost a normal day the vet who battled dinosaurs for her reported two broken legs... Just great... One herder and one battler... The herder was laying on his side asleep with his pack around him defensively... They weren't leaving Sam had just given him the medicine... The bone wasn't protruding so she wasn't sure how this stuff even helped But Emerson insisted it worked... So she did it anyways... Part of her wondered if she'd gotten ripped off... Eh she had bigger things to worry about. Like getting her herders to do their job... The albertas might be able to do it... She got her supplies and got them out... Well it did work barely and they were chill it was all good...

Eve collapsed on the couch in her office, exhausted. One dino got a broken leg, which was further aggrivated by the vet continuing to battler her. Eve went mad searching for healing cherries in her storage, but eventually found some cheap ones in someone's shop. She had to throw the cherries over the defensive dinos in the enclosure, but thankfully the injured girl managed to catch them.

Looking at her charts, Eve noticed a rise in bone salve sales these last few days. She carefully tracked the sales in the vet's office to make sure her dinos matched up with everyone else's. However, she felt troubled by the recent revelation. She came up with a plan to find out what was causing the recent trend, and called her assistant to get to work making flyers for other farmers. Maybe there is a correlation, or maybe she was just going crazy.

Well Lary was back up to speed so Sam guessed the bone cream worked... Eh when she saw the flyer she reported it and got back to work... Well her herders were effectively worn out and ready to focus... With a whistle the well rehersed symphony began as the herbivores were paraded in front of her as she checked her stocks. All was well... She could use an ATV to do this but it seemed to stress her stocks more than something more natural like predators... They were built to recover from this sort of stress very quickly. Sam was satisfied with her stocks... She went and let the stocks disperse as her herders went back to their enclosure... Play time and battling had them tired and she had a new chick on her shoulder looking around... She kept the little ones where they could watch the adults herd and learn...
Running a hand through his now matted and muddy hair, Valentino walked back towards the building. He gave one last look to the enclosures he had last visited, knowing he'd have to come back later that day to take care of one of the Linheraptor's wounds, and make sure the alpha of one of the Megaraptor packs didn't attack the new young one, or the latter would attack the new babies. The hand that ran through his hair drifted slowly up, to gently pat the Archaeopteryx who had previously escaped the enclosure, and was now perched on his on his head, biting at his hair.

As he entered the building, he ordered the employees to go get some stuff. Get grain for one of the herbivore enclosures, some liquid bandaids for the hurt Linhe... As he was checking the stocks and instructing one of the many assistants, feeling the Archae on his head resume his nomming from his previous break, he was interrupted. As one of the employees stammered over to him, nervous from the stoick gaze of the cyborg, he showed him a flyer. Lifting the band off his eyes a bit, and breezeing through it fastly, he gave it back, ordering them to contact whoever made it to confirm their suspision, at least from their part. The many accidental purchases of Bone Salve, most of which his fault, where enough proof for him. With a sigh, he continued checking food costs and how much income the dinos were bringing in.
Sam finished her job for the day and went to the Forum and got involved in a Naruto rp and the guy who played Itachi was really cute... He didn't mind the raptor on her shoulder as Sam dressed up in a ninja suit with a rubber sword for 'epic clashes' and other nerdy antics... Seriously she was shocked the bartender let her and her friends away with the kind of crud they got up to... "OOC Sam..." 'Kin' turned to 'Itachi' a guy who's real name was Sojiro and he said "I need a job..." "Come work at my place for a while start tomorrow..." "IC..." They were back to their games and Sam had a new employee they'd work out salary later...
The next day Sam went over things with her new employee the raptors didn't respect him but that would take time to earn... She'd been working with these dinosaurs since they were babies... Her new employee noticed "You don't have anyone else working here..." "Haven't needed it but I'm doing you a favor... I won't tolerate slacking off though..." "Yes Ma'm... Where is your gun?" "I use a whip, air horn and whistle. I only break out the dart gun in emergencies..." "If you hit them aren't they going to turn on you?" "I use the noise a bull whip makes to let the alberas know they did something I don't want them to do. The air horn works on the others. I use the whistle to get attention. Follow me and I'll show you what to do..." She gave him spares of her tools and sure enough the raptors started giving him crap ignoring commands. Since Sam had worked with them since they were babies they all knew they could hurt a human if they weren't careful. So they didn't get pushy but growls and snarls were given until Sam broke out the correct discipline item. Sojiro was learning but it would take time...
Sojiro was learning and the raptors were learning to obey him. The Albertas were the easiest for him to work with they were big and much slower easier to watch even if they kept grabbing the jerky he kept in his pocket without him noticing... It was funny to watch one of those massive animals delicately pluck the stuff out of the human's pocket with their tiny arms and then ever so dantily pick up the jerky without the human noticing... Granted his jacket where the jerky was was sitting on a stump while he was putting one through it's paces another was trying to steal his jerky. Sam had made a vet's appointment for her dinosaurs for their check ups and Emerson while he prefered animals sedated respected Sam's judgement and her training to allow them to remain very much awake it actually helped him but the man was careful... Honestly the raptors didn't mind the vet...

Sam had Emerson over and she was issuing her raptors the commands to let the vet examine them... She had one sedated dinosaur the new male Alberta she had yet to name. She had to work with him... Her pack would show him how to behave. But he wasn't ready for it yet. Her employee was watching this while he was mucking out the enclosure... Sam was leaving her herbivores alone for the day... She was planning to take her main herders to herding trials for extra money... She wanted to buy a new trench coat... It was winter and cold... A young raptor someone asking for money had sent her had ripped her current trench coat accidentally and where she had stitched the thing closed still was giving her a bit of a draft. She didn't want to spend emergency funds on a matter of comfort. The person had hastily asked her for money and when she said "Make me an offer." He'd offered her a new dinosaur a week and threw a little poorly trained linhraptors into a moving crate dropping it off at her door.

She had bandages on her arm and had returned the raptor. Sam didn't have room for a little linhie... She kept one enclosure as a quarentine incase someone got something contagious. Sam had explained her injury to the vet as a raptor she hadn't trained that someone had essentially thrown at her. Emerson had seemed amused at this and commented her new dinosaur was a good purchase... He finished examining the dinosaur and Sam gave the animal the antidote to the tranq before leaving. They moved on to the rest of the farm. Nothing wrong with anybody so Sam could get back to training her new dinosaur who was getting to his feet staggering. He hadn't seen her dart him but he was still wary of her. So she had to get him accustomed to her and her pack was helping. He wanted to be part of the pack and the alpha was loving and affectionate with this human so he was starting to warm up to her.

Haly meticulously counted up her winnings. She didn't have as many dinosaurs as the other farmers, which made it easy to battle them manually every day. For the most part they won, which was always a cause to celebrate. Ever since she began raising her own herds, the only things she ever spent money on were health items and toys.

Speaking of which, the raptors had already popped all of their balls. She would have to make a trip to buy some more soon. Maybe tomorrow. For now she was content. Her money was set at a perfectly even score, and she didn't want to change it.

Leaving her office, she stepped out of the house, putting on some heavy rubber boots. It had been raining lately, which was good and bad. It could flood the Deinon enclosure, then again water the plants in the herbivore pens, and fill up the troughs so she wouldn't have to. The plant-eaters were never thirsty anymore.

Strolling around the grounds, she noticed someone at the entry gate. Running as fast as she could in the footwear, she was greeted by a nice young fellow who handed her a flyer. Tucking the paper into her coat, she thanked the man and watched him take off on a motorbike. Overhead the clouds were gathering again, suggesting it was time to go inside again. Making her way back to the ranch-house, Hawkfeather retreated to her office to read the note. It was an announcement regarding the sales of bone salve the past few days. Coincidentally she had bought the product for one of her Sinors. It had broken a leg during the second round of fighting. The creature had fully recovered today, and she had ran it through some more practice. It was her main income, which to some judging minds seemed like a shady business. Hawkfeather was always very cautious about it though. Only a couple dinosaurs had died in the ring, and they were all honored in the land behind her house.

One of her raptors had the flu and Sam thanked her lucky stars she'd hired the help so she could spend the day wiping a snotty snout and cuddling the raptor in quarentine. The poor raptor was sniffling and sneezing. She got covered in snot on more than one occasion. Sojiro was getting the hang of things and Sam was wiping up snot when Sojiro said "One of the herbivore hatchlings got loose and a stray raptor got it..." "Must have come from the reserve... What kind was it. "A male deien... He also seems what did you call it?" "What is he trying to do?" "Mate..." "Studdy he's studdy... Did you get the albertas to chase Don Juan off?" "Yeah... But he's back and trying to get into the enclosure..." Sam growled and said "Keep her company." This time Sam picked up the whip and planned to use it to send the pest packing... Her raptors knew they would never deliberately get hit with the whip but strays that caused trouble were another story.

Sam closed in on the bright red pest who actually had the gall to snarl at her. First she tried the air horn. He flinched but saw it as a challenge so Sam broke the whip out cracking it. Again flinch but that amped up the aggressive display. He was clearly excited and this time Sam used the whip on him the whip leaving an actual slash on his hide. She had her tranq gun at the ready. This raptor was a rage raptor because what would usually send a raptor scurrying had him ticked off... So she used the darts. This raptor was going to be put down... Should have never been allowed to hatch... Sam called the vet and he did the deed disposing of the carcass... Her diens had watched her deal with the pest and they watched her clean and oil the whip. They knew they could shred it if they wanted to but she only used it when one of the big ones nearly stepped on her or something like that. So they were fine with the device... She had never done anything to deliberately cause them pain.
