Awoken woke up( haha) and she immediately went to her paws. There was no one here. Awoken trotted away, unaware that she was on The Fallen Pride's territory now. She spotted a small bird, and she ran toward it and immediately it tried to take off. The only problem was, Awoken just crashed into it and it fell to the ground. Awoken tried to turn but she skidded and missed the chance. Awoken flicked her ears and she spun around and ran toward a small herd of antelopes. She finally caught one after about five tries. Awoken only had eaten a back leg when she felt breath ruffling her fur. She turned around to see a lion right behind her. Her eyes widened and she froze.
Nativity watched as her brothers faught. "Why can't you just be normal and not fight all the time?" She sighed, backing up as the fight made its way to be. Soon she was amongst it, all four siblings wrestling. Nativity left them in a heap on the floor, trotting away to lay in the shade where a few lionesses were sleeping. They were all still mourning. Nativity unfortunately wasn't old enough to remember the lion that had passed, but from the stories she had heard, Nativity could have only wished she remembered him. Nativity watched the lionesses in silence, her mother sitting next to her. "He was a remarkable lion." She said softly, knowing just what her daughter was thinking. "Why can't they just be happy?" Nativity asked. "Because many grew up with him, it's hard for them to accept it still." She soothed.
Chansta lied basking in the sun next to a old tree with no leaves a scent marker that had always been there. He felt flies buzzing around his head, flicking his tail, annoyed, he got to his paws and walked back towards the territory, moving swifly and quietly over the Savannah. Chansta stopped only a moment when he had to finish marking the scent markers, he finished the slow walk back and stood at the edge of the pack, before he became king there were always cubs running around and a happy buzz from talking lionesses, now it was a little more muted, but he could still feel the happiness seeping back into the pack.
"But we have Chansta now. He's not exactly a cub, and he seems to know what he's doing." Nativity said quietly, her mother sighing. "Just let everyone mourn, and get over our loss. Then we can focus on being happy." She said softly, licking her daughters shoulder. "Okay." Nativity sighed, walking off to lay on her own. She didn't understand everyone else. It was like her and her brother were the only ones who could be happy, but Nativity was slowly feeling the mood in the pride pick up. The beautiful, young lioness stretched her golden furred body before laying on the ground, yawning loudly before laying in her side, closing her amber eyes.
Leonitus sat on his haunches at the top of his tree. The black leopard flicked his tail, watching the grazing gazelle in the field jut a quarter mile away from his tree. "I could use a bite to eat right about now," said Leonitus. He yawned, his inch long canines exposing themselves. Leonitus scaled down his tree and landed paws first on the ground. The black leopard then trotted off into the tall grass. As Leonitus arrived, he began to slink lower to the ground. His shoulder blades moved up and down as he went into stealth mode. Leonitus kept his eyes locked onto the gazelle, making sure he was downwind of his prey. He began to look for an easy victim. Leonitus's eyes halted on a plump female. She was separate from the group by five feet. Leonitus wondered why. He then saw what she was doing: giving birth. "No, I don't kill pregnant animals," he whispered. "That's just wrong in my head," said Leonitus. His eyes darted to two males. The two had their heads low as they charged at one another. "Perfect," whispered Leonitus. He moved in closer around, wanting to surprise the two males. All the while he kept his eyes on the sparring males. They clashed antlers every two minutes, trying to pin the other down. Leonitus knew the two had let their guard down, being their trust into the herd's lookouts. Leonitus was a skilled predator, and being a leopard meant he was a God among stealthy animals. The black leopard halted as he saw one of the lookouts raise their head. Leonitus instinctively got belly-low to the ground, his ears flat against his head. "If the wind changes, I'm screwed," he whispered. The lookout chewed her meal awkwardly and went back to grazing. "Thank you," whispered Leonitus. He continued to edge closer to the two sparring males. He paused once he was in leaping distance of the bucks. Leonitus released a growl as the males clashed antlers once more. The black leopard suddenly sprung from his hiding place with a roar and pounced. The herd quickly scattered. The two males tried to run, but they were instantly stopped by their antlers, which were caught among each other. The bucks bleated as Leonitus pounced on them. He caught the bigger male on the right, biting down on the buck's windpipe and holding down. The other buck continued to pull and pull. Leonitus held on to his prize, yanking the choking gazelle away from the frantic one. When the male pulled free, he quickly took off after the rest of the herd, stopping only to help the mother gazelle move along with her new baby. Leonitus felt his prey lie still suddenly. He quickly dragged the gazelle back to his tree and ran up the tree with the deceased buck. Leonitus rested the buck on the top tree branches and said, "I love being a leopard." He began to feast, thanking the heavens that he didn't draw the attention of any jackals, lions, hyenas, or even vultures.
Chansta walked through the pack, moving happily he saw his all the lionesses lounging around. He saw that the youngest of the cubs were finally walking, the smallest Akia was the only male cub , which made Chansta like the little cub more. "Akia, hi buddy." He said lying next to him and lapping his tongue over his head. Akia rolled over and pushed on his nose "Bad Chansta." He smiled giggling. Chansta started nipping the fleas off his belly "I'm silly? You're the little cub you decided that a meerkat is a great chew toy." He cuddled with the little cub until they both fell asleep.
Ghost looked around her surroundings. She was in a large forest, but not so far away was what was supposed to be a forest. In the distance she could see scorched trees, ashes, and branches scattered across the floor. Ghost sat down and scratched her neck, jumping as she swiped her back foot across her bare neck, the chain making an annoying clink. "Darn chain and my neck..." she grunted. She shook her pelt and sighed. Even though there was shade, Ghost's thick fur didn't help, and neither did the shade. The chain embebbed in her neck always clinked, scaring all the prey. Ghost groaned and padded toward the scorched "forest".
After sleeping for what felt like forever, Nativity woke surrounded by her brothers, snarling tiredly at them. "Leave me alone, I'm tired." She yowled, kicking one in the head, disguising it as a stretch. She beat the other with her tail. "Come on, Nat." The eldest pouted, nudging her. "We want to go to find the waterhole the lionesses were talking about." The youngest brother finished. "And no one knows these plains like you do." The other added, smirking lightly. Nativity sat up, eyeing her brothers. That had won her over. "Fine," She growled, standing up. "If we get in trouble-" She began. "Then we'll take the blame." The oldest brother said, nativity sighing. "Fine. What did the lionesses say it looked like?" She asked. "Maybe the water would help plants to live, so there'll be animals too." She thought aloud, that was how she mapped the plains their pride lived on. Her brothers just shrugged, walking away from the pride, Nativity bounding offer them to take the lead. They walked in silence to try and keep anyone from noticing.
Ghost entered the burnt area, getting even more hotter than before. Ghost sighed, "I wish my fur was short and sleek, not long and thick.."  Ghost stretched and yawned, but then stood straight when she heard a crack. Ghost looked around, her whiskers twitching, and as she moved her neck and head, the chain clinked. "Hah.." The she-leopard spotted some movement under a clump of charred branches. Ghost crouched down, creeping toward the pile of "moving" wood. Ghost jumped back as something lept out of the pile. "Dang creature.." she grunted as she gathered herself up. A sort of armadillo-rat thing was scurrying away into the shelter of the foest. Ghost shook her pelt, ash flying out.
