A female raptor with royal blue scales, small horns on her head, and a golden stripe running down her spine to her tail tip gazed into the water. Her golden eyes were focused on a small school of fish. The good thing about being a member of the Clan of the Rolling Waves was that she didn't have to worry about going hungry. The water of the ocean never froze, and fish were still plentiful. The only problem was the water itself. It was too cold to swim and risk getting ill in such cold weather, so they were forced to eat land prey more often unless fish strayed too close to the shore.

Those that did were usually too small to be much of a meal anyway.

Her claws shot out and into the water, scooping up a few trout that had wandered too close to the water's edge. Whith a quick snap of her jaws the fish went limp and she gathered her bundle to head back to the pack. She glanced around, sniffing the air as she caught the scent of another raptor. With the smell of fish in her nostrils, she couldn't make out who it was, nor could she drop the precious bundle of food. This was the most fish she had seen in days, and she wasn't about to let it go.

Storm of Lost Hope
Setting

Set across an entire continent. Each clan holds one piece of territory, no more, no less.

The Clan of the Darkened Forest holds a forest as their territory.

The Clan of the Rolling Waves have a delta.

The Clan of the Tumbling Rocks live in the rocky base of a mountain

The Clan of the Screaming Wind live in an open plain.

The Clan of the Searing Sands live in a desert.

And finally the Clan of the Living Mud live in a swamp.

Each Clan has several packs, five being the very least.

There are loners who wander in search for a clan to join or who were exiled from their old clan and searching solitude or for a new one. Or revenge.

Plot

The land in which we live was a peaceful place. There was plenty of food to go around, our territories large enough to hold all the oacks within one Clan. However, the recent cold season lasted far longer than any other. Food became scarce, packs began to fight and the Clans began to show mutual dislike for one another. They fought at the borders over prey they had killed on it, and there were many many deaths for all the packs, and just when we thought it would never end;

The sun reappeared.

We thought it would bring us life. We thought things would go back to normal.

Oh, how we were wrong.

Food slowly came back and the packs began to spend time with one another in peace as they did before but the tensions were clear and clans still fought over food. We can only pray that this will pass. We can only pray the ancestors show us mercy and bring back the peace that once kept us safe and secure in our once beautiful home.
History

The land in which these raptors are from started off with very few packs. Over time they ganged up on the other predators and drove them out. Because of how there are only raptors the prey became plentiful and the raptors were happy and content. They became more friendly towards one another and created Clans in the territory they preffered and there would be a Clan meeting every month for all the clans to meet in peace and meet old friends and possibly move to another Clan or pack. Packs liked to socialize as well, often wandering into each other's nests intentionally to spend some time with relatives, friends, or even to meet some new ones.

During and directly after the long cold season these peaceful meetings stopped. Anyone who wandered into another's terriftory or nest were instantly attacked and shown little to no mercy.

Recently these tensions have died down and the packs have stopped fighting, though the clans are still hostile to one another.

Rules

Same as any other rules but there is a couple things I would like to add.

PLEASE do not have any raptors who were banished/exiled. Those where were alone would have not survived and news travels. They would not have been accepted into any Clans or packs.

Also it'd be a good idea to have word out or something to keep track of alphas, omegas, and subbordinates in each pack and which raptor is in which Clan/pack.

No godmodding please. This is when you take control of a character who belongs to someone else without the creator's permission or a post like 'I killed you and you're dead.' It's compeltely unfair to the creator of that character. Remember to ask to kill another character if you wish it. And don't just kill the character because they're a jerk, keep things realistic. Though jerks do have a bit more tendency to get killed, just saying.

Finally remember that the clans are still hostile. They no longer attack on sight but if you do not take note of their warning and leave they will attack, no matter your purose for being there.

Some characters have minor deformaties like small horns or spikes. Nothing major though like bat wings or armor plating on them. Some may even have less fingers or toes than what is considered normal.

If you have any questions regarding the RP, feel free to ask. The ages work the same way as they do here. If your raptor is four years, it is a young adult.
