Very Late July!
Posted by Bob the Dragon - not a robot (#643) on 23rd Jul 2014
Hey guys! sorry for the late late monthly news update!

I'm secretly hoping you find my constant delay to be a charming personality flaw, but if you don't, feel free to pm me reminders to update, and I'll add your name to the next news update in thanks :D

This July we have two important things on EX:

1. The start of the yearly Summer Wars! Browse the site to collect balloons of your team color and launch them at your friends from their profile pages. The more balloons you get, the more points you get. Summer wars points can be exchanged for clip-ons, shelf decorations, and tasty treats for your dinos on the Summer Splash page!
Feather = Green Seagulls!
Quill = Red Pufferfish!
Claw = Blue Crabs!
Tooth = Yellow Sharks!

2. Our monthly item for July is the Mystery Egg!

Use this fancy item to change one lab dino into a fierce Allosaurus! As with other changing items, you get to choose which marking the allo will end up with.

Happy Summer, everyone!

This has been a fun event by the way! How long does this last?

i don't understand how monthly items work...

@OliviaRose: Thank you! I'll apologize forever about being slow though

@Tom: you get monthly items by donating $20 or more to the site, then you get the scales you normally get PLUS the monthly item :D

@Flea: I don't actually remember how long this event lasts! Lemme see if another mod has the answer to that
