Vyaris either grew up as the Omega in a previous pack, or was the Omega among his siblings, if he had any. Either way, he is very quick to assume the role of Omega whenever any other Dinosaur of his species approaches, and with an expertise that astounds me.

He won't let me near him. The other Dinosaurs come running when I ring the dinner bell, but he hangs back. He'd certainly starve if it wasn't for Veldari. She is quick to snap up a few pieces of meat for him. Not only that, but she protects him from the others. She's quite the fearsome one, and the other pack steers clear of her most of the time.

The two formed their own pack from the beginning, and I was just slow to realize it. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon their nest! Seven eggs in all. I've kept one, and she will be added to the pack when she hatches.
