Red is the most fierce raptor in Railclaw, and rules Silver Valley with an iron claw. She is not to be trusted alone and not to be directly approached except by her official handler, because she has a tendency to lash out with little warning. She is clear-minded on the hunt and seems to enjoy being taken to the fights, gleefully jumping about whenever she sees the trailer that carries her there.

The ruthless queen of Silver valley leads her pack aggressively, ruling by fear and by awe. She is not the smartest nor strongest raptor in the pack, but she maintains appearances very well. She shows little interest in social interaction and the most even her mate, Rail, can hope for in terms of acknowledgement is the occasional possessive nuzzle and some mercy during spars. Lewis, however, has caught the queen's eye and she seems to be much less aggressive to the younger raptor, even going so far as allowing the girl to groom her, and occasionally leading her about and showing her off to the handlers as if she was some marvelous new toy.
