Sarah was going to be part of a ruthless pack. When she was in her egg, however, a velociraptor carried her far from the nest when a forest fire had broken out. The female velociraptor thought that Sarah was one of her babies. Imagine her surprise when little Sarah popped out! But the mother still loved her just as she would one of her own chicks, many of whom died trying to escape the flames. Sarah was soon forced to leave her adopted mother when a t-rex killed off the last of the other chicks and their mother. She traveled far in search of food. She wound up at our front gate, to weak and hungry to fight when we loaded her onto the truck and took her to the nursery. Now here she is, with another adopted mother, Luna. Luna took her right in when one of her little babies died. And now Sarah is part of our fast growing family.
