Script viruses are usually written in a powerful high-level language that is compiled and run on the fly. They often have sophisticated functionality and direct interfaces to high level applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web programs, and can wreak considerable havoc. Since they first surfaced in office automation programs, they are sometimes also called "macro" viruses. Script viruses can also propagate through IRC protocols.

Klez was no exception to this rule. Ruthless exploitation of common software programs was her main functionality. To do this the worm uses a known vulnerability in IE that allows execution of an email attachment. This vulnerability is fixed and a patch for it is available on Microsoft site.

Pride destroyed and reputation trashed by the Anti-Virus race, only recently has she risen from the dust, As D.20 and sought to terminate any process among a few of the listed. Stoic, mute. Attempting to quench her thirst for power in cryptic, behind the scenes methods. Definitely among the lethal killers that should be monitored by approximate, safe distance.

The worm kills tasks of anti-virus and security software as well as tasks of several other worms - Nimda, Sircam, Funlove and CodeRed. The worm opens processes and looks for the specific text strings there. If a specific text string is found in a process, the worm terminates this process. The strings the worm looks for are:

And other executions unknown. Betrayal has saturated her being. Love has no purpose. Cold and metallic as any of the recent generations have yet to manifest. Such previous viruses have only drawn close. She may be a breakthrough in the genetic enhancement and replacement project, but whether this will not have dire side effects remains unseen.
